   This lighthouse marks the entrance to Wellington's inner harbour and ships entering pass by at a very close distance. There is a fairly large parking area with benches right by the lighthouse. The spot is particularly frequented by anglers to point where "bait blocks" have been installed to discourage anglers from cutting up their bat on the benches. There are really good views of Soames Island and further on to Petone and the Hutt Valley as well as the wide sweep of Wellington Bay.

   The nearest lighthouse in Wellington, just took 30minutes from home. Unfortunately the landmark drawn by the graffiti. Just park the car nearby, side by the road. Sit in the bench, or walk by the rocks beware slippery and the waves from the ocean when high tide. Picturesque. Enjoy the view of the harbour, ocean and the city. Great scenery especially when sunset. Many fishing spots nearby. Great location.

   Famous Wellington landmark. Easy to find and parking within metres of it. Part of the picturesque drive around the bays with many sites and stops along the way. Can get busy at peak times like weekends so get in early if you want the perfect picture.

   Nice little lighthouse overlooking the Wellington Harbour, we drove down from Weta Cave and this view is amazing.. this is located at the tip of Miramar Peninsula, the sea was calm and it was not windy..Recommended for a short detour when visiting Miramar..
