    Water gets cold but it's fine. See some nice sunsets o er the city side, lots of space to walk and sit down for a break. Playground at the Waione end with a nice little cafe serving Argentinian inspired food. One of the main reasons I like to love in Petone.

    One of my favourite Lower Hutt beaches, a long sandy waterfront. There is a concrete path and low concrete wall between the free street side car parking off the roadway. There is a small short sand dune which is where birds nest and there are bunny tails and other plants growing along there.
