“Super clean and spacious. I stayed in a studio & it had its own private patio out back. The thermal pool was great, the grounds are immaculate. Really friendly and accomadating hosts. Carpark is right in front of your room and the wait for uber to location is not super long (less than 10min when not peak). Would stay again.”

“Thank you Chet and Steve of being a very good and lovely hosts. Very good stay, the room is cosy, clean and comfortable. They have small little pantry in the room itself - coffee, tea, water and a kettle to boil water. Toilet amenities are also provided. And I like the surrounding garden with planted apples, pears, plums, lavenders and so many others. Walking distance to the nearby cafes and restaurants, and 15km to the Christchurch international airport. As my flight is very early, so I don’t have chance to have the breakfast, which I really love to do it in my next visit again.”

“John was an excellent host and the place was incredible. The views were absolutely epic and we enjoyed visiting the beach and dunes. If you’re looking for a remote area to stay, this is it. It is about an hour from Auckland. I recommend visiting Rotorua, as well as PIha beach if you have the time. So awesome. I’ll probably never be back because I live 16 hours away via airplane but the memories I had were once in a lifetime. Thanks John, I hope to see you one day again. “I came here for a pregnancy massage last week and I cannot recommend more highly! The room was set out perfectly to ensure my comfort being pregnant and Maree made sure I was okay the whole time. The massage and facial was delightful! Afterword I had a lovely drink and sweet treat and they gave a wee gift! Not once did i feel rushed, in fact was encouraged to continue relaxing for as long as I wanted. If you are looking for your new go to place, this is it! Maree was absolutely incredible and so welcoming. I will be back”

“Update: its been a couple of yesrs since I first reviewed here. It feels like it maybe has new ownership. The cooked menu is offering all options now. Staff are still friendly, service, cabinet and coffee are good. Under new management since last time I was here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Staple bakery items are still available but quite a few cooked menu items are no longer available. The coffee is now by Allpress, but the coffee training needs some work as my coffee was poorly extracted, the texture light and watery and the milk texture had too much air.”

“Very warm and welcoming place. It is what one would imagine as a place to eat while thinking about a village or a small town like Lincoln. The food is good. I had so many good memories about this place. On a cold and windy day getting a coffee for myself and hot chocolate for my kids. On Friday after long and exhausting week lunch coffee with a pie. And today with all the rain we get at the moment delicious spicy pumpkin soup was the most appreciated thing for me and my wife.”
