   We had a wonderful stay at Clive Colonial Cottages! The property is charming, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect mix of comfort and character. The cottages are clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Located conveniently in Clive, it's just a short drive to Napier and Hastings, making it a great base to explore the Hawke's Bay region. We especially loved the lovely gardens and the quiet surroundings – ideal for unwinding. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for couples or small families looking for a peaceful getaway with a touch of colonial charm!

   We had a terrific three night stay and could have stayed much longer. The Bellbird cottage was spotless (the interior looks brand new) and had everything we needed for a family of three: Big shower, comfy beds, two quiet bedrooms, kitchenette, etc. The two porch areas were lovely spaces for morning coffee. We appreciated the laundry facilities, easy walking/biking to the cycling track, chickens roaming, and peaceful grounds. Rachel and Tony were kind and welcoming—very responsive to communications and helpful in borrowing bikes (their bikes are great!). A gem of a cottage experience.

   We stayed four nights in Tui cottage. So quiet and peaceful in a beautiful garden setting. The cottage is very well appointed with a very comfy bed and everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the hens roaming the garden. We hired their bikes and really enjoyed biking the trails. Fantastic hosts. We will definitely be back. Thank you Rachel.

   We loved this place! The cottages are charming, well-built and immaculate inside. The gardens are stunning! We stayed two nights and have come all the way from Colorado to explore the Hawkes Bay area. This place is minutes from the ocean, popular wineries and restaurants. Perfect location, but you feel tucked away in your own little garden oasis!

   Amazingly peaceful ambiance! And handy to everywhere, being just 10 minutes equidistant to Napier, Havelock North and Hastings. Check out the cool garden grotto complete with ponds, birdlife and the happiest chooks on the planet. Thanks Sandra and Neil for being the perfect hosts..and thanks Hawkes Bay for turning on the most perfect weather.... again! Can't wait to come back.

   We had a wonderful stay in the 3 bedroom, beautifully renovated cottage the weekend of April 21st and 22nd. Everything we needed was there and the cottage was clean, quiet and refined. Neil and Sandra were fabulous hosts. The location was perfect for exploring the area........wineries, hiking trails and beautiful beaches all within 30 minutes drive. Probably the best nights sleep we had in 3 weeks of travelling the north island! We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Hawkes Bay!
