“If you are looking for a calm and nice hideout this is the best place. Felt like this is our little cottage for the past few days. Stunning morning view as soon you open the windows simply it will take your breath away. Hosted by a lovely family and had a chance to meet their friendly doggy (Rubble) Cottage got a vintage vibe for us felt as if we are back in our home (Sri Lanka). Looking forward to seeing this nice place again.”

“Chambourcin Cottage - what a wonderful place. So well located - nestled in it's own vineyard, and then surrounded by many other beautiful vineyards, as close as a walk or cycle away. Kim and Bruce were so welcoming, from the first email interaction, and were extremely generous with local knowledge of local vineyards and restaurants. The cottage itself is stylishly appointed, with no detail overlooked. The most beautiful accommodation on our North Island holiday. A real find!”

“The large cottage was lovely and very well appointed. Was not lacking any amenities. Our weather wasn’t that warm so didn’t get to sit outside. The king size bed was so comfortable! I enjoyed a bath (both nights) in the separate bathroom. The bathing products were awesome. The cottages are a bit out of the way but such a great coffee place down the road. So you need to drive a bit to restaurants and wineries which we didn’t mind. There are bikes available to rent onsite. Overall this was one of our favourite places we stayed while in NZ. We loved the country feel but the modern look. Annabel had left fresh eggs which we cooked up for breakfast one am. Lovely!”

“Friendly hosts. Lovely quiet accommodation close to shops. We stayed 2 nights in the studio which is lovely and has everything you need. Unfortunately our stay was unplanned as we attended a tangi so didn’t get to experience much of the relaxing environment. We will definitely be back.”

“We had a lovely time in this private little haven. Two kids under 5, lots to do in the whole region. Coming back to the Cottage was a gem with its entry garage, bedrooms, peace. Hosts were nothing short of extraordinary, welcoming, inviting, and even indulged us in a huge favour of harvesting some rare fallen pohutakawa for woodworking. “Most amazing Cottage - Hosts left fresh baked bread, fresh eggs and everything we needed to cook. Rooms were beautifully appointed and fireplace well stacked. The fire toasted the room up quickly and I enjoyed the bathtubs. Close to good vineyards as well. Kids played happily in the large garden and then we all went for a walk down to the river. Tom suggested we bring the kids to his farm as we left so they could collect the eggs. Quite possibly the best rental cottage in NZ.”

“An amazing home base for exploring Napier! We stayed in the downstairs studio and loved it. Totally private from the rest of the house with a modern bathroom and cosy bedroom and sitting room. Set right next to the forested gully it’s a very peaceful place to stay. Very close to town and the Ahuriri side of the hill too. Highly recommend staying here as Kitty is a great host and the room is splendid”
