“I stopped by this pet store recently because I’m wanting to start a tank and needed some advice and I’m so glad I did. A young woman working there (blonde, glasses) helped me out, and she was absolutely amazing. She really knew what she was talking about when it came to fish care, water treatments, and what species work well together. I had so many questions, and she was super patient and explained everything in a way that made sense. She even helped me pick out the right food and showed me which filters would work best for my setup. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals and wants people to succeed, not just sell products. I left feeling way more confident and excited about getting my tank started.”

I was served by the lovely Kimberly who helped me with fitting the harnesses and also with carrying one of them out to my car( I’m currently injured with a back problem). “This evening, a staff member went above and beyond for our family! I believe her name was Kaye, working in the click and collect department this evening. After my husband came home with our order, we realised we were missing a few things. I called up to explain and Kaye was so apologetic and helpful! So much so that she personally delivered our missing items to our home after her shift finished! Just incredible!”

“Redwood Aquatics is an amazing shop for reptile and fish supplies! Debbie is always friendly, quick to respond to my emails, and incredibly helpful. The store is fun to visit and it’s great to have such a reptile-friendly place in Christchurch - which can be hard to find. Highly recommend!!!”

“I rate this mitre 10. Everytime I've been here I've left with what I need and some. Today I went in for some pots totaling $400 but they were discounted down to only $80. And the last time I went I was just getting some charcoal and they had $1000 umbrellas down to $250 because the box was damaged. The staff are always super helpful and friendly. And the bbq section is always well stocked.”

The layout is spacious, with ample parking and easy access, making it a stress-free stop. Just across the parking lot, there’s a large pet store with plenty to explore. A wonderful destination for gardeners, plant lovers, and families alike.”

“Animals are well taken care of and healthy. Workers are proactively helpful and understand the animals in their shop. I've purchased everything from aquariums and axolotls to guinea pigs there and each person understands and advises the owner correctly. I've even seen a denial of sale with a worker concerned over the health and wellbeing of an animal there. Highly recommended. “Shout out to the amazing vet Saffron ( hopefully I’m spelling her name correct ) Who came out yesterday to my lamb who had been attacked by a dog. Not only was she careful and very thorough but she was kind, funny and caring. She was realistic with us and did the very best she could. If I could recommend anyone it would be her. I really hope this is passed on to her as we want her to know how grateful we are for everything she did for us.”
