animal attraction actaully used to be good, but then otago pet foods took over, now the customer service is not as good, they never ask you if you have a tank set up for the fish that you're buying, the just get out their nets an bags and sell it to you anyway. on top of that there's always a rack of tanks that are not for sale, and the tanks that their selling from have dead fish that the other fish are eating. RIP animal attractions.
This place has pricing issues, grabbed 4 things and when the eftpos machine said $80 i questioned the cost of the items as should've been $45. I decided to put the cat bowls back because she said they were $22 each, yet when i checked the price ticket on shelf it said $17. When i went to buy the remaining cat toy and cat treats i didnt realise i was charged $28 until i saw my bank notification, the items were only $11 total. I got my refund in cash which isnt ideal, they also took 5 minutes to find the price of the $2.50 cat toy. overall weird experience if i hadnt of questioned them i wouldve been ripped off without realising. Otherwise excited they have crinkle cat toys my deaf cat lovesss these and can never find them individually

The staff are helpful, and the animals are really healthy and well cared for. This is the best place to get healthy pet fish from in Dunedin, in my opinion.
Got our wee siamese ragdoll from here she is amazing and we love her to bits ❤️ Thank you guys we will be back for some pet fish soon I hope!
Never have really liked this shop as I'm biased with Animates as they have clean shelfs and a better vibe compared to this place. I personally don't go here and wouldn't recommend to anyone else. What they could improve on is probably getting cleaners in every week or so.
They have some cool animals here!! Sadly no birds but they do have....puppies! Kittens!! A variety of birds and last time I visited, Australian water dragon. I don’t come here as often as Nichols pet centre, but I still love this place!! Axolotl’s and turtles can also be seen here.
