    Friendly staff as always at Animates stores. Great selection of pet products and a dog washing station which is self serve I think. Parking is a bit tight at this store, so be ready for small delays... otherwise 5stars. Easy to get there from central city.

    Firstly, just read a review stating lots of services inc. veterinary services but they haven’t had a vet there for weeks, maybe 2months and mainly temps prior to that who messed our records up. The receptionist/vet nurse and Irish vet (sorry can’t recall name) we got to see once before they went to work elsewhere were great tho. Have spent thousands at animates especially recently and a lot generally over the last 6 years. But I won’t be any more. My partner and I complained recently when the Richmond Road branch only had temp vets and one of them put his details in wrong which messed with his (my puppy) vaccination timeline and us and once this was realised it wasn’t corrected in the system which quite frankly could’ve potentially affected my dog. At the least it was annoying, time wasting, confusing and unprofessional. So, I take him to the groomers, I booked an appointment. For a simple hygiene groom. The quickest on the menu excluding the extras offered but can’t actually book using the booking system. Yet, it has been over 2.5 hours since he was left there. 40min ago we went to pick him up prepared to wait 10min or so. In fact when we arrived we were told 10min so at this stage, although a little frustrated noting it was packed, literally dogs everywhere and semi out of control, we only had 10min to go. Still waiting. Have just been told another 10min. So that’s 50min from when we asked and were told 10min. My time has been spent sitting in my car watching it get dark outside. I have plenty of things I could be doing with my time. Worse, the dog is going to be anxious and stressed given the chaos I’ve witnessed and the time (well over hours) to have a hygiene groom. He isn’t a difficult dog to groom so there’s no excuses. I can’t believe, as a business, those in charge let this happen. I’ll be sure to inform all I know not to use animates if they know what’s good for them. And their animals.

    Fantastic customer service by Saira (hope I spelt the name right). I didn't know as customers that there was a price comparison check on products which today saved me a lot of money. Lots of services available here, including dog grooming, veterinary services etc. Excellent range of products in this expansive well run store.

    Will not be back to this animates. We have an annual dog wash subscription with animates but were told at this location we could only have one token for our dog (10 minutes wash). I explained that he needs two because his long hair and double coat require longer drying time, the woman behind the counter didn’t care and said it’s only for large breeds. I explained I’ve never had this trouble at any other animates location and again she didn’t care at all, and referred me to check the terms and conditions. They will charge you the same price for a ‘small’ dog or ‘short haired dog’ as for larger breeds and seemingly determine by their own subjective opinion as to whether you need more than one token or not, never mind the owners comments or needs. I washed the dog with the single token and as expected it was insufficient. He walked out of the store still wet and was shivering in the car. There were no queues for the dog wash before or after our wash and store was not busy. Upon checking the terms and conditions there is a provision for large breeds AND dogs with long hair so turns out I was correct in asking for two, and other animates locations have been perfectly accomodating when able. I will make a point of never buying from or visiting this animates in future, we did not feel welcome or our needs served.

    The staff are amazing at this store. Really lovely experience. The only reason I am giving this location 4 stars is because parking is atrocious and pulling out of the parking lot when traffic is busy is also a nightmare. Definitely go here during off peak hours.

    Booked online for grooming. Yoyo did an amazing job! Great demeanour with the dog, friendly and gave good advice when I asked if his face couldbe cut a certain way.

    I visited earlier this week , I called to enquire if the store had neon tetras in stock I was informed they had multiple. Once I came into store that exact day I was informed that the fish had been in isolation and that they'd changed fish providers . I had found 2 neon tetras alone in seperated tanks . I purchased both to find find them dead in my tank today only few days after purchase and my other fish are still alive which I've had over a week from petstock. I called the petstore and was informed there's nothing they can do about it . I'm rather disappointed.

    I am frequent buyer at this shop. The staff is fantastic and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Although, the things there are quite expensive, but worth of it. my dog loves her new bed:) I like the fact, that if my dog doesnt eat the food I bought, I can always return it and swap if or get a refund!
