Had an amazing 3 night stay at the lovely Clarence hotel and a final dinner at the Clarence downstairs. Big shoutout to Annie who took great care of us during checkin and our last dinner too!
Wonderful hotel. I have stayed at hundreds of international hotels in my business career and the Clarence is right up there as one of the best. Great location but most importantly the rooms are beautifully styled with great attention to detail and the staff friendly and efficient. The person at the restaurant for breakfast has been there for several years and she was as always attentive and friendly. Wont stay anywhere else when I am in town

Extremely charming and romantic, we were unbelievably lucky to stumble upon this boutique hotel in Tauranga. We had the perfect stay. The hotel is very conveniently located and the staff are unfailingly wonderful! Special shout-out to Annie and Devon. Mahalo!
We had a wonderful experience staying at The Clarence Hotel in Tauranga. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. What really stood out to me was the personal service, something that's hard to find these days. Food and drinks 10/10. Pizza is a must try! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional stay.
I loved my stay here. The rooms are luxurious and the bathrooms are by far my favourite. I would travel to Tauranga for work every month and when I stay for one or two nights I like to try and see if this place has availability within my allocated work budget. So when it is, this is the place to stay. It’s location is convenient to everything, including getting on the motorway to go to the mount. You are looking at $200 to $250 per night for a studio room. Sometimes you can get a better deal.
Had a lunch booked there today for a fairly large group. Service was pretty poor and no acknowledgement of the staff. This is quite disappointing as the service used to be amazing when Daniella was managing the team. I would think twice if you want to host an event here.
While the room is fine do not expect a sound sleep if your room is on the street side of the hotel due to excessive noise from the bistro below & a local club that blares music into the small hours of the morning
100% the best place to stay in Tauranga! From check in to check out the place was unique but relaxing. Daniella was the whole vibe of the hotel and restaurant. Food wine, wine and cocktails were amazing but the positive energy Daniella and her team brought added to the overall experience. We stayed in the king exec room, it was very spacious, the decor, bed overall styling was all on point. Bathroom double sink amazing shower 10/10. Only place we will stay from now on.
