“It's such a beautiful walk views are amazing must do walk”
“What a selection of beer! If you are in Dunedin and missing the UK reminds you of home. So many choices and a very friendly owner passionate about what he does…..good job I don’t live here be in daily.”
“Great place check out the city. Also found a teenage blackbird bath in a dirty water hole. Brave bird wasn’t afraid of me at all but it didn’t know bathing in dirty water won’t get itself clean”
“This family business is great. Honest, straight up information and always finding a way to make things done within a budget. The owner of the business is the one working on my car and I know that everytime I take it back for services etc he knows exactly what has been done, what may need looked at etc. Loved my business with them so much more than once that I wanted to give my first google review. Go see Tony he will sort you out with full transparency.”
“Best bike shop ever! I had crossed the threads on my pedals and they immediately sorted it so I could ride the Otago Rail Trail the next day! So grateful - wouldn’t get service like that from an Australian bike shop!”
“This is a unique time capsule and an example of very clever late 19th/early 20th century innovations in domestic architecture/technology. Absolutely fascinating and guides were encyclopedic in their knowledge. Even the family history was attention grabbing. Everybody in our group was impressed with this place. 6 (or 7) out of 5 stars.”
“Adrian excelled in his customer service. A part was missing from my order, he quickly responded and organised the part to be delivered in a timely fashion. Sometimes even when mistakes are made, it’s how quickly a team can recover to support and communicate with the buyer that shows how good they really are.”
“My #1 address in Dunedin when it comes to holistic health. I had an osteopathic treatment with "Thierry Rey". I was suffering from severe back pain. After one session the pain was entirely gone. I could almost not believe it, after no-one had been able to help me before. Next day I went for an acupuncture treatment with "John Swift" to decrease the inflammation that had built up in my back muscles over time. He did an amazing job. During the session he explained every step, always asking if I am alright. He is incredibly knowledgeable and a wise man. Last but not least it needs to be said that the team at the reception does a fantastic job. I felt very welcome. Such lovely and attentive people. Thank you so much for helping me!”
“A really fun thing to do. And this is coming from a girl who is by no means a beer fanatic. Thomas was a great tour guide, incredibly knowledgable and very passionate. Good sense of humour too. Really cool to do a truly South Island experience, delicious beer tasting at the end, plus the gift shop does actually have quite cool stuff! Thanks for a fun arvo team :)”
Harry's Kitchen favours a burger-led line-up with clear, tidy flavours. Views add a quiet lift to the visit. Noodles arrive glossy and well seasoned. A sensible spend for the quality. Buns hold well a...
“Went as an international visitor and I think I paid $35 for the whole experience. They have so many exhibit including NZ/Dunedin early history, Maori, "Animal Attic" (mostly animal taxidermy), Maritime (ship models) and People of the World (random assortment of cultures - they even have a mummy). The Planetarium was alright but I went to the Night Sky one which was rather boring to be honest. The science/kids section was fun but a lot of the exhibit needs to be refreshed as they have seen a lot of use. The butterfly garden was very interesting as it is something you don't see often. They also have a cafe onsite but I did not try it. I spent around 3hrs trying to see everything but this place definitely need a few visits if you want to experience everything. My only complaint is that the gift shop does not have many Otago Museum branded things -only magnets and postcard - I was ready to buy more souvenirs, had they had more!”
“Otago university - oldest university in NZ offering chilling weather, encircled with mountains, having lush green grass and amazing view of clock tower. Gift center provides you multiple options to gift your loved ones. Also, provides you an opportunity to buy something which marked with university of otago clock tower. Caps, pens, key rings, T-shirt, paper towel, and many more things are available. Loved to visit this place, and bought gifts for my friends. The receptionist was amazing, showed every possible options with a huge smile on face. Best place to buy gift which puts lifetime memory.”
Bistro at the Terminus runs with a grill-focused menu and a relaxed feel. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Ribs and steaks come seasoned and tender. Team members keep things friendly and on task....
“I popped into Saddlery Warehouse recently to grab a Christmas gift. I was amazed at the range on offer and the friendliness of the staff. When the item I wanted want in the size I needed the store assistant offered to have it couriered in from another branch. Great service, I will definitely be back!”
“Fantastic clothes for NZ women. Always shop on line and had to make sure I stopped on our road trip”
“I saw it as/in passing to go to Salvation Army opportunity shop in Mosgiel. Two opp shops at least here. Wanted a place to stay the night, but could've ventured back home. Drove back after visiting Mosgiel's opp shops. Also getting sushi lunch there. Drove up, met reception, had a look at the room available, asked the price, then said "I'll take it." Later upon my return, I settled in and can report well worth staying. The room reaches my expectations, even the jug was clean, some places jug has rust inside! Thank you to Regency Motels Mosgiel. (In closing, HeHe, I often wonder with these reviews, what it would be like, if the host was to write a review about---ME!? And other guests report of me, same. Maybe Neighbours of my unit might be writing noisy night, as neighbour was snoring, other than that, the resort was superb). Regards Dcuzbromatov.”
The Black Sheep Restaurant and Bar keeps things simple, bistro-style and focused on flavour. Sweets lean classic and not overly rich. The room sits relaxed with an easy buzz. Team members keep things friendly and on task.
At Krishna Indian Restaurant and Takeaways, the menu stays classic fish-and-chips, served with an easygoing pace. A coastal backdrop rounds out the stop. Stir-fries keep good heat and snap. Vegetarian picks read as complete plates.
“Great place to shop for quality products”
“Kia ora we now have postal boxes at CLendon Post Shop for 1/2 price for the next 24 months for businesses and private box holders. We only have 20 left”
“Easy drive to get there with a park over property right across the road (if you have a self contained camper van etc).”
“good to walk with kids and there is a playground that people call it Red playground. Also you can find ducks at the near the pond”
“This is a 2.8km off leash dog walk. There is one good sized pond for dogs to swim and depending on whether it has been raining will depend on whether sister will be flowing. There are a few yucky parts where if the dogs get covered in mud, they will need a bath!! They love it though. The track also caters for a few cyclists some of whom go too fast. Don't be shy to say, 'slow down', I do. Great place.”
“Bug cliffs, ocean walks, watch the tides, if high not much walking room. Steep stairs. Gorgeous area.”
“Great beach for a nature break in the city; fantastic with takeaway/packed meal at low tide to walk off street the nom nom noms. Not recommended for inexperienced or young people to swim due to long jagged rocky foreshore bed.”
“Nice covered and fenced playground for littles. Manageable on your own if you take more than one kid as there are different areas of interest. Toilet on site too. Will visit again”
“Such an incredible spot. If you need a drive away from Auckland, you should definitely add this to your list. The beach and the dunes are stunning and really makes your appreciate the world's natural beauty ✨️”
