For adult around 3 to 5 min- really short walk to the fall. Honestly, walk way will be slippery if you did not watch out so better don't go if it raining. For children just take extra care when walking .view is so amazing but do be careful if you seen algae as usual don't swim you will seen a notice where it mention. Worthy for a short break stop to sit and drink cup of coffee. Just so u know not harm to explore the walk if walk extra care as u may thought it's dangerous but not because that's is where the stair located to go further shallow area so don't be shock.

Fun spot for dipping and diving. Require some experience in rock climbing. Not many parking lots if crowded.

Maraetotara Falls is an absolute gem β stunning scenery, crystal-clear water, and such a peaceful spot to reconnect with nature. Itβs not super well signposted, so take your time β the best access point is the third clearing, where a short track leads you straight to the falls. Definitely worth the extra few minutes to find it! The water is beautiful and refreshing β perfect for a swim. There are a couple of great jumping spots if youβre up for it, though itβs definitely at your own risk, so take extra care if youβve got young kids with you. The track down is short and manageable but can get slippery when wet, so good footwear is a must. Sadly, I did notice some rubbish left behind β I picked up what I could and binned it properly. Places like this deserve to be cherished and respected. I imagine in summer it turns into a hot hive of activity β but even in the off-season, itβs well worth the visit. A real Hawkeβs Bay treasure.

Beautiful spot, Native birds, soothing sounds from the waterfall.

Awesome spot with a beautiful semi-manmade waterfall and a nice deep swimming hole below. There are a number of places to jump from rocks into the pool below and there's a rope swing too. The best place to park is at the middle carpark with the toilet and walk the short track to the bottom of the swimming hole. From there you can climb up to the left to get to the rock jumps and rope swing.

There are 2 parking spots, choose the one by the toilet (check there is enough poo tickets before logging out) as it is a more user friendly path to the falls. A short 2 minute walk. Nice place for a swim.

Stunning. Great spot for swimming & jumping in. A rope swing there too, if youβre brave enough. Track down to the water requires good balance as one part is along an old concrete water pipe that Is slightly sloped.
