“We had a perfect morning for this planned trip thankfully as you need to prebook on the website. The pools were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. While we spent the entire visit in a single pool, there were many choices and I have tried them out on different occasions. In my opinion this is a great pool to bring a baby/toddler family to. The 1st pool has a big terraced entrance for new water babies and a deeper part so that adults can hover along the edge of the shallow section supporting their tamariki. I highly recommend.”

“We went for lunch for my sister-in-law's birthday. My daughter and I ordered specific dishes(as she doesn't eat all things, like a lot of teens), and has to be careful of peanuts. She had chicken stirfy and I had a pork and noodle dish. The others ordered a variety of starters and main dishes to share. Everyone loved the food. So tasty, the flavours are fantastic and good portions, we managed to take left overs for my partner to try. Would definitely go back. Thank you for a wonderful meal.”

There’s no menu—just walk in and let them know how many people are dining or ordering takeaway. They usually open around 5:30 p.m., and there’s always a long line, so give yourself extra time. The food is simple but absolutely delicious—choose chicken, lamb, or a mix, served with tasty rice and curry. It’s great value for money and always consistent. We ordered 3 servings for 5 people, and it was more than enough. Don’t expect a typical restaurant setup. You get your own drinks, plates, and cutlery. If you're dining in, you can skip the takeaway queue—just find a seat and order at the counter. We always get an extra serving to enjoy for lunch the next day. Tip: Join their Facebook group to check if they’re open. Long wait, but totally worth it!”

“Wow, what a fabulous activity to have in the heart of the city! A number of Punt boats go down the Avon River, guided by young gentleman dressed in the European/English style, to give some authentic vibes to the experience! Charlie was our 'punter' a very friendly young chap, and very knowlegable about the Botanical Gardens we floated beside, as well as all the variety of birds and Ducks on the river! The tour lasts around 1/2 hr, and worth every dollar!”

We read such fabulous 5-star reviews that we thought we would try the Welcome Indian Takeaway Restaurant — and it did not fail us at all! The food was just amazing. For having traveled so far, each of the meals that we had ordered was just full of real flavor — in all seriousness, it was some of the finest Indian food we'd ever had in our whole lives. Nicely prepared, beautifully spiced, totally unforgettable and price is so reasonable which anyone can effort compare to others restaurants. The food was equally impressive. “If you’re ever in Hamilton, I absolutely suggest giving Dr Donburi a try. It’s a fantastic spot that won’t break the bank, with hearty portions and incredible flavors. We tried Teriyaki chicken and Chicken Katsu Donburi. The free-flowing miso soup is a great bonus, and the staff are genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. Honestly, it checks all the boxes!”
