The apartment was adorable, very warm, cosy and immaculately clean. The retro vibe was very unique and nostalgic, I loved it! Shops/cafes just a short walk away, we didnt need the car all weekend. A memorable stay of a perfect weekend.”

“This was a lovely cottage with a pretty garden view. The host was kind and helpful. The rooms each had their own theme and decor that I enjoyed. The shower water pressure was great as well. The location was nice, just outside of town, but close enough for us to see and explore as we had planned.”

“Absolutely beautiful homestay to stay in. We arrived late but it was no problem as we were given the self check in instructions. Everything there that you could possibly need. Lovely having a TV in the room too. Comfortable bed, quiet & relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen made it so easy for us to have breakfast, which of course we brought with us. Would so recommend this homestay. And we will definitely come back x thank you so much”

“Sylvia is exceptionally proficient and professional. I am a 40 year old first time mother and it was important to have a care provider like her that has 30years experience and both a medical approach as well as a respect for the knowledge and experience-based style care that comes from midwives. This may be unique to my situation but I appreciated having scans, blood tests, and hard data to rely on as well as advice and wisdom from experienced mamas to help me make the right decisions for me and my baby. With Dr. Rosevear’s care I had an uncomplicated vaginal birth of a healthy 7lb baby boy and was on my feet and feeling really good almost immediately. She is unwavering in her goal of ensuring a successful birth. Along the way of my prenatal care she was honest and clear about the statistics, approaches, and interventions used in some births and potential outcomes –she didn’t sugarcoat things– and was always respectful of me and my partners endless questions and had no problem when we declined any interventions or elements of care that didn’t feel right for us. I am so thankful to have had her care for me and my sweet baby boy.”

“While staying at middlemore hospital I came down to Columbus a few times, food and service was amazing. You can tell that they are well organised and the manager was really helpful in recommending food items that would be easy for me to eat as I hadn’t had anything stay down in a few days.”

“I think within this service it's all about who you get. They do have a high turn over of staff (I've been in the service for 3 and a half years and have had 5 case managers and 4 psychiatrists). I think within the service you also have to advocate for yourself as best as possible and if your case manager and/or psychiatrist isnt helping you request to change your team. My last case worker and psychiatrist were people who just weren't a good fit for me so I requested to change my whole team and now I'm being I have an incredibly good relationship with my case worker and psychiatrist. In terms of who you need to have a good relationship with its definitely first and foremost your case worker as they are the ones you have the most interaction with. I'm sorry to hear of all the negative experiences people have had within the service and I could definitely see that being the case. The service definitely could be better. But I'm just lucky my experience has been a pretty satisfactory one. For case managers Filly (though I'm not sure if she still is in that role) and Taryn are INCREDIBLE and have helped me immensely and always advocated for me in terms of voicing how I was feeling to other services when I wasnt strong enough to do so. I saw that someone posted a negative review about the psychiatrist Ingrid, I've found her to be the best psychiatrist I've had so far, soft spoken and asks all the right questions. In terms of groups, I've been in 4 throughout my time and have found them to be helpful both in the social aspect (where I have met some great people) and in their content. Sure, some of the groups I havent found were helpful for me, but when that was the case I still went for the social aspect and learning different skills/gaining knowledge even if so far I havent found information for that particular group helpful. Being a patient within different public services before I kind of knew where my expectations needed to be and they've lived up to that. Being a public service their resources are stretched THIN so for what they are given by the DHB funding wise, I think they are doing the best job they can with what they have been given which is something that I feel should be recognized.”

“The team at Animal Orthopaedics Christchurch were amazing. The initial appointment was a whole hour where they took the time to assess and give valuable advice. The process of surgery was awesome with the teams caring nature and constant updates was truly amazing. Highly recommend using the team at Animal Orthopaedics.”

“We stayed for just 1 night and it was really amazing. Qi is super friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, quiet and comfortable. Bedroom had a kettle and mini fridge available for use. Slippers, toothbrush and conditioner shampoo were also included. Breakfast was delicious and right on time. Definitely worth it!”

“Having just spent the weekend at Quail Lodge with my Mum, I simply can't give it a high enough rating! Starting with the warm welcome, the kindness that hosts Sam and Hamish showed was second to none. The accommodation was superb and it felt like we'd been wrapped up in a luxurious big hug. The food was exceptional, Sam is an incredible cook and nothing was too much trouble. Everything including the beautiful location and scenery was truly a memorable and lasting experience. “Can’t recommend Marino Ridge enough! Caroline and Peter are amazing hosts. They’re very knowledgeable about life on Waiheke Island and gave us lots of helpful recs for our whole trip through New Zealand. Marino Ridge has incredible views in all directions and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s a great location, with easy access to the ferry, hiking trails, and Oneroa Village.”

“This was my second time staying with Pauline and Steve through Airbnb, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is lovely, with a beautiful view from the courtyard. Pauline even prepared a delicious dinner for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Relaxing in the spa pool before bed was the perfect way to end the day. I left feeling completely recharged!”

On our walk, we met the owner, such a nice man. He told us the story of their lovely piece of heaven, which added to the experience. I loved the cold plunge in the river and the sound of the Rurus at night. Will go back in a hurry!”
