   This is a fabulous place. We stayed here to celebrate our last night in New Zealand before flying home. The Quail Lodge is pure luxury .... The 2 bedroom suite has everything you need. The breakfast on the balcony was fantastic. The surroundings are so pretty and relaxing. It was such a treat to have a pool to enjoy. Samantha is a wonderful host and gave us great recommendations on places to explore in the area. We would recommend that you book longer than just one night ... Thank you Samantha for such a wonderful and luxurious stay.

   We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Quail Lodge. Sam was most hospitable and went out of her way to make our stay most memorable. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there especially the fantastic breakfasts provided so cheerfully. Also received advice on what to see tourist-wise.

   Well Where do I start with this greater than 5* accommodation. We (myself, my husband and sister in law) were at this accommodation for 3 nights at the end of April 2023. 1st: The owner was absolutely beyond great, her breakfast devine and very helpful with any needs ( I had problems with my computer and she was only too happy to assist). All her holiday suggestions for our next 4/52 trip to NZ were fabulous. 2: Accommodation was fantastic with everything spotless and clean with beautiful features well attended kitchen and living area the bed rooms were beautifully decorated with the comfortable beds and amazing views. 3: Views are amazing from any vantage point and the gardens beautifully kept. 4. Admittedly you will need a car to get around as it is out of town but location made it great to see lots of areas in a short time without struggling through city traffic every day. Thank you again for a lovely stay for the first part of our NZ holiday.

   My partner and I are really glad we stopped here on the way to Auckland. we experienced several nights of poor sleep due to sound from other patrons or shared plumbing, block out curtains that don’t block anything out, small rooms, and uncomfortable beds during our trip in NZ. Though this can be expected it was a dream come true to receive a private resort experience so we could finally relax towards the end of our trip. Sam, our host, also put great effort into make us feel welcome, comfortable, and well-fed. Her cooking and hosting skills are exquisite, and we struggled to eat all the food available at times! Quail lodge is only a short detour for impeccable value - so your self a favour and stop by :)

   What a fabulous place! Comfortable, spacious, stylish, and an amazing view! On person said "Why don't we just stay here for the rest of our stay in NZ?" Samantha is a charming host, and a great cook. We were very tired when we arrived, and not very hungry, so Samantha offered to prepare a plate of cheese and dips, and veggies, and it was perfect and delicious.

   What an incredible place! Spacious, comfortable, and with amazing views. Samantha was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We arrived earlier than anticipated and she offered to make us dinner despite us not requesting it in advance, and it was delicious. Breakfast was delicious too! We would love to stay here again!

   Six star experience! If you have the chance, stay here. Our only regret was the shortness of our stay. Samantha is an amazing and very accommodating host who readily catered for our vegan diet with a fabulous evening meal, and delicious and generous breakfast provisions. We were made to feel very welcome and at home and were delighted to meet Ollie, Samantha and Hamish’s, very sweet and loving dog. Quail Lodge is a modern, self-contained, bed and breakfast apartment, which has been beautifully decorated with very comfortable furnishings and kept in immaculate condition. Samantha served our dinner on the deck where we sat in awe of the beautiful and peaceful rural views with the Auckland skyline in the distance. The location was perfect for our early morning run into Auckland Airport the following day. Thank you again Samantha, Hamish and Ollie for making the final night of our trip to New Zealand, one of its superb highlights. We can’t wait to return!

   Having just spent the weekend at Quail Lodge with my Mum, I simply can't give it a high enough rating! Starting with the warm welcome, the kindness that hosts Sam and Hamish showed was second to none. The accommodation was superb and it felt like we'd been wrapped up in a luxurious big hug. The food was exceptional, Sam is an incredible cook and nothing was too much trouble. Everything including the beautiful location and scenery was truly a memorable and lasting experience. Hoping that we can return in the not too distant future. Thank you for having us.
