“My favorite Woolworths in the west. Not too big but still carries a great range. Love that the store is always fully stocked in the morning including the bakery. Staff are friendly and helpful and parking is never an issue”
“Very big super store, you can buy things here easily, very well organized.”
“I always luv to shop at K Mart as I always get Alot of cool bargins. And because it can get real busy and and the fact that I'm in a wheelchair and the staff don't like me waiting in the long queue there. they like me to come around to the returns waiting desk instead, which is the o totally wonderful for me and I'm so very grateful for that help and support. Thanks and Merry Christmas from .. Carolyn you and joyce”
“I love popping in to the Countdown after work. So convenient, well stocked with all our grocery needs. I have 3 sons living at home and my hubby so I'm always topping up on meat here. The meat is pretty affordable. We grab a big bag of sausages that splits into 2 meals for us. Chicken tenders, fish, chicken nuggets and chips, burgers, pizza, dumplings, spaghetti bolognaise or lasagna are all on our menu and easily available here.”
“Nice modern Countown store with clean and well maintained facilities. Easy access from two roads to the large carpark. Do note that shopping bags are no longer provided so bring your own or purchase the ecobags instore for future reuse. The store has a wide selection of everyday necessities along with the liquor, fresh fruit, deli etc. Staff were helpful and polite. Self service is provided but Card Only.”
“This is not my usual supermarket but I went there specially because this was the only supermarket I came across that stocked "Kindness shampoo" for delicates and woollens that smells nice and has the wool logo. This was recommended to me.”
“Clean and well‑stocked, it offers a wide variety of pantry essentials including organic and bulk food. Helpful staff and fast checkout options. Located on Level 3 of Westfield Mall, it offers free parking for 3 hours if you register your Car number plate in the Westfield app. It's slightly tricky to find inside the mall, but it's worth the visit!”
“was served quickly, although there was a few pushy customers when it came to queuing up but cashier was kind. stock was plentiful and good deals going at the time. aisles are wide which is very convenient for shoppers passing by. overall a nice experience for first time visit”
“Clean and well-lit with spacious isles and perfect shelving. Spoiled for choice across all items, and very well-trained staff who give customers five star service. The very best shopping experience. New World Eastridge makes shopping for groceries a pleasure”
“Great Click and collect You're back into 1 of 3 bays And the lovely lady puts your groceries in the boot”
“The only Great Woolworth this side , it is just great Woolworth like back in the west Auckland ,clean , tidy plus they have a health section with vegan and gluten free products, this is my Woolworth to go to now. Also the staffs know the products here in the store. This is my Woolworth to go to now.”
“I use the delivery option...the personal shoppers are always very good at substituting items that are out of stock and also when there's free samples, they're good at making judgements and choosing based on the rest of my shopping. The delivery people are very nice too, my dog yells at them but they calm her down by chatting to her through the door. Using the delivery saver is cheaper than it would be for me to travel there and I don't have to carry anything up/down stairs or hills”
“Friendly staff well stocked, and stuff are on specials. Thanks for the good experience”
“Frequent visitors to this store because of how well catered it is for kids. Our 3 year old had an accident at Bunnings Petone on the weekend and the staff were so incredible - knew the process, everyone helped accordingly and followed up with a phone call later that day and a gift sent via post. Couldn’t have felt better looked after and cared for - thank you team !!”
“This place has heaps of free parking while I grabbed some groceries, I ordered angry chicken from the neighboring takeaway for the first time and it was so delicious.”
“Woolworths is a convenient one-stop shop for all my grocery needs. The stores are clean, well-organized, and usually well-stocked with a good variety of products. I especially appreciate the fresh produce section and the easy-to-use online shopping platform. Prices can sometimes be a bit higher than other stores, but the quality and service make up for it. A reliable supermarket for everyday essentials.”
“COUNT WORTHS ... AKA WOOL DOWN ... or whatever their calling the place this week is my preferred place to grocery shop ... Because they have staff that are abundant , available , friendly helpful & kind ... The specials are often far better value than the others . The policy of refund & replacement is seldom called upon but when it is the result is immediate which insures customer satisfaction . The wheelchair one may borrow suits this old biker who enjoys visiting his friends that are friends”
“Thank you for selling Australian Wine, Fruit and Groceries! The Australian Wines taste light years better than anything produced in Aotearoa. Australian Fruits are tastier and their Groceries are better and cheaper!”
“Very nice Woolsworth to shop at. Rain or shine it's a great place. While in rain it has underground parking which is available for everyone. The staff are awesome with very helping nature. Always recommend to use this Woolsworth for shopping.”

“I just wanted to say how lovely the team at Hornby Woolworths are. Every time I visit, I’m greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness that truly makes the shopping experience a pleasure. The staff are always helpful, polite, and go out of their way to assist, whether it’s finding a product, offering a cheerful chat, or simply making checkout smooth and easy. It’s clear they take pride in their work and care about their customers. It really makes a difference. Thanks for being such a welcoming and positive part of the community!”
“A quick visit to this reasonably brand new supermarket. Lights have been added on the corner of the main road to allow ease of access by cars, etc.. Busy place, and there's a pharmacy. Car parking is tight, so take care.”
“I just wanted a bottle of wine.”
“Phoned today to ask if a product was in stock. The woman i spoke to went out of her way to find it for me and offered to leave it at customer services so I didnt have to go looking for it. I was very impressed.”
“The service was amazing. I ordered click & collect, and they packed everything perfectly.”
“Quite a big store to be fair. They sell really good lamb chops lol”

“I recently visited Woolworths Chartwell in Hamilton, NZ, and I was thoroughly impressed by their bakery section. As someone who enjoys fresh bread and baked goods, the moment I stepped into the bakery area, I was greeted by the irresistible scent of freshly baked bread and pastries. The entire section was inviting, and the layout made it easy to browse and pick out exactly what I wanted. The bakery was exceptionally well-organized, with a wide variety of items displayed neatly. There was an impressive selection of freshly baked bread, ranging from traditional loaves to specialty options like sourdough and multigrain. The breads were beautifully arranged, and it was clear they had just come out of the oven, with a perfect golden-brown color and soft texture. The variety made it easy to find something for every taste, and everything looked incredibly fresh. The pastries were equally impressive, with an assortment of sweet and savory options. The shelves were stocked with everything from buttery croissants to fruit-filled Danishes, and each item was carefully placed to make it easy to choose. I particularly appreciated how the bakery section was not cluttered, and the items were placed in a way that highlighted their freshness. The labels were also clear, making it simple to find what I was looking for. The staff in the bakery were friendly and approachable, offering assistance and helping me with some product recommendations. The overall atmosphere was clean, and the area was well-maintained, which made shopping for baked goods an enjoyable experience. Overall, my visit to Woolworths Chartwell was fantastic. The bakery section alone made it worth the trip, and I will definitely be returning to grab more fresh and delicious baked goods in the future!”
