Woolworths Manurewa is a busy supermarket that serves as a convenient one-stop shop for locals in the South Auckland area. Located next to Southmall, the store is easily accessible and has plenty of parking available, although it can get quite packed during weekends and after-school hours. The store itself is fairly spacious, and the layout makes it relatively easy to navigate once you’re familiar with it. The fresh produce section is usually well-stocked with a decent selection of fruits and vegetables, though there have been occasional issues with quality, particularly later in the day when things start to run low. One of the highlights is the variety of products on offer. Whether you’re after pantry staples, snacks, frozen meals, or some international ingredients, you’ll usually find what you need. The bakery and deli sections are serviceable but could use more variety, and the meat section can sometimes feel a bit understocked compared to other Woolworths locations. Prices are reasonable, especially if you’re taking advantage of the weekly specials, but some items can be noticeably more expensive than at competitors like Pak’nSave. Customer service tends to be inconsistent. There are staff members who are friendly, helpful, and quick to assist, but there are also times when service feels rushed or indifferent, especially at the checkout or when you need help at self-service. Self-checkout machines are useful for quick trips but are prone to glitches, and it can take a while to get an assistant over when something goes wrong. Security is quite visible, which may be reassuring for some but also gives off a slightly tense vibe that can take away from the overall shopping experience. Despite its flaws, Woolworths Manurewa does its job well as a neighbourhood supermarket. It’s not perfect, but it’s convenient, the selection is solid, and if you shop smart with specials, it offers decent value for money. With a few improvements to customer service and restocking routines, it could easily become a top choice for more shoppers in the area.

BEWARE OF FAKE PROMOTIONS / YOU MUST READ Incident happen on Thursday,11th of January 2024 @ 20:16 Hrs Location: Countdown, 227 Browns Road, Manurewa 2103 They have advertised Chicken Brest price down from NZ $ 15.50 to NZ $ 13.90 per kg (Saving of NZ $ 1.60 per Kg ) Actually, it was NOT. They are misleading / cheating, overcharging the customers. When I came to checkout operator particularly I have ask the question “This is not seems to be right as they have advertise for NZ $ 13.90 per kg ware as packaging says NZ $ 15.50. Her answers that may be for another product, so I went to the shelf as came with the barcoding tag. Ahh.. It’s already discounted and it’s a labelling error”, Yet I’m not convince with her answer. Then I did the calculation from my phone and showed it to her NO, You are wrong. Then she called the floor supervisor, she also try to get away from me but she can’t prove me with the calculation. Then she called the meat guy he was in charge at time. He also tried with the options, but failed and paid the difference of NZ $ 1.00 by cash. Until I come with the proof both these staff members Checkout operator / floor supervisor) trying to get away from me by giving fake answers, how unprofessional is that ????? My question is “from the time they advertised this from promotion until Thursday,11th of January 2024 @ 20:16 Hrs how many people & how much they earn by cheating ? Are they going to call each and every customer and refund? I don’t think that they have that much courtesy, In fact I have request from the meat guy to “take out the pricing until they correct this, but I am not sure that they have done it. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FROM THE TOP SUPER MARKET LIKE COUNTDOWN. I am taking up with the govt. body those who are dealing with this.

hello good morning , actually I never did feedback about customer service, but today I was not satisfied with customer service, I came yesterday around 4:15 pm, when I went self checkout, I bought one fry pan, fry pan price $22 on shelves, when I scanned the item price showed $36, after I called manager there her name is Gagan, she told me can you clicked the picture where you got the product, I went back to aisle and clicked the picture showed it, she told me that the fly pan price different one, i said to her other pan is bigger than that different size, that’s on different price, after she removed the product on system, I paid to rest of item, i asked to if I paid to item then what you will do, she gave me answer if you customer argument with us then we refund the money and give to customer item free, then I said to her, I’m paying $22 and you guys don’t accepting, that mean I have to become rude customer to you get the item honestly I don’t like to write it, but I don’t like her ( gagan) customer service and answer Thanks

There price tags are wrong. At least for certain beverages. I see in there sales(discount) section they're selling 1 litre fresh up juice cartons. Tag says $2 I go to scan it and the machine says $3??? Same with their glass V drinks. Tag says $3, I go to scan it and it says $3.50 and everytime, their mother and live energy drinks say "2 for $4" I go to scan it and it's always $6 for 2. The price doesn't get discounted. You scan one, it says $3, scan another, it says $3 again and charges you $6 all up. I don't know who's running your beverage departments but they need to check their prices. It's hopeless going in there with a plan in mind when the prices are wrong.

It used to be better than it is. Staff member I met today was racist, sadly. Would only speak to someone from her own culture. When I mentioned it she told me it was because I couldn't hear. I couldn't hear her saying hello, telling me the cost of the groceries and anything else. It is difficult to hear when someone doesn't open their mouth.

Nice modern Countown store with clean and well maintained facilities. Easy access from two roads to the large carpark. Do note that shopping bags are no longer provided so bring your own or purchase the ecobags instore for future reuse. The store has a wide selection of everyday necessities along with the liquor, fresh fruit, deli etc. Staff were helpful and polite. Self service is provided but Card Only.
