Hoyts Wairau is very convenient located, and has plenty of parking which makes a huge difference, so you're not stressed before the film looking for a park. Once inside, the comfort continues with plush, comfortable seating that lets you sink in and put your feet up. No cinema trip is complete without snacks, and a good variety ensures there's something for everyone, from classic popcorn to more gourmet options.”

“After an initial rocky start with noisy neighbours, the hotel reception shifted me to a different floor. The old room and the new room were identical. Both of them were great and quite clean maybe 9/10. The bed was comfortable, also clean and medium firmness, which I liked. Shower pressure in both rooms were good. Generally, I think this is a good place to stay if you need to be on Auckland's North Shore. Interactions with reception and housekeeping were always pleasant. There were very, very minor issues like the kettle flap was broken, the dryer ran extremely loudly. I was a little embarrassed to use the dryer at night due to the noise. The towels were thin and could be thicker.”

“Our 2-year-old daughter attended this Kindergarten for nearly a year, and our experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly supportive, and the teachers were always attentive and caring. Our daughter loved being there and connected with everyone. The playground is spacious and filled with engaging activities that helped her develop motor skills and stay active. We only moved her to another Kindergarten due to logistical challenges with our work schedules. We’re truly grateful for the time our daughter spent here and highly recommend this Kindergarten to other families.”

“My daughter has been attending Wee Wisdom Montessori Drury since November 2024, and previous to her joining she had been enrolled to several other daycares, kindergarten etc and not one of those centres did she enjoy more than she enjoys Wee Wisdom! “Super clean and well organised with a really impressive play area. The entrance fee is expensive but worth it in my opinion. There are even healthy menu items at the canteen, which is unusual at other indoor play areas. A great rainy day trip!”

“Great place for bring your kids to do some exercise, there are running area, playgrounds and even a maze! Clean n tidy area indeed.. lots of free parking area, clean toilet near the karori play center. But I think the maze area should be repainted. When blooming, really love to sit down in the bench under the pohutawa trees in the corner and enjoying the view”

“I have just stayed here over the weekend for a conference. Had a 3rd floor room, so quiet I forgot I was at the airport! The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. When I asked for the room temperature to be lowered it was. When I rang for more toilet paper it turned up in 5 minutes. The à la carte breakfast is good value for money. Would love to go back one day even though I live locally!”

“We come here a lot to play but my daughters birthday party was at Chipmunks Lyall Bay today. It was AMAZING! The recent upgrades have made the venue so awesome all the kids loved it. The food was great, the party house was great, but the best part was how friendly the staff were- it was so busy and they were still able to make sure we had everything we needed and more! They were so caring and made it such a special and easy day for us. Highly recommend Chipmunks Lyall Bay, thank you guys I am so grateful for help in making my girls day so special!”

“The Main hall is huge! Plenty of tables and chairs. Excellent oven. Fridge was a good size to store food and drinks. Great bar area to set up kitchen stuff and prep food. You need to bring your own utensils,kitchen stuff and dish washing needs. There's no dish washer so it's best to use paper plates and cups as well as serving bowls that you can just chuck out. Thank god the Rubbish bags and bin were supplied. If you have 100 guests or under? It's best to hire the adjoining hall as the main hall is really huge. The Caretaker David was awesome to deal with,real good sort. You have to meet him at the hall to open as they don't give you keys,which is great..one less thing to worry about. Just make sure you have a sign saying private function on the entrance doors because it's on the main road and people walk in thinking there's housie or come to use the toilets lol but overall experience was excellent. Shops across the road and Chinese takeaway incase you need extras. Over all experience..Excellent!”
