“My family of three, which includes a 9 year old, loved this event on vacation!! Two hours was plenty to learn time be safe and try the rapids several times. Options were available for swim levels to drift downstream. Our guide, George, was amazing and persistent with the three children in our raft without being harsh. Video is purchased separately for your experiences. The changing area is large and clean.”

“Awesome place to take the kids. We attended a birthday party. They set a area up for us and catered food and water. There's a Cafe with decent food. Plenty of parking It get hot during summer, keep the kids hydrated. No complaints.”

“I recently took my sons to Gravity Mt Wellington after they had been in an accident. They were quite nervous and hesitant to get back on the trampolines. I was approached by Shahad, the manager, on her day off. Even though she didn’t have to, she kindly approached us and spent time with my boys. She spoke to them gently and reassured them that they were safe. Her patience and encouragement helped them slowly build up their confidence. By the end of the visit, they were smiling, laughing, and jumping again. It was such a relief to see them enjoying themselves after everything they had been through. Shahad truly went above and beyond in a way that not many people would. I’m so grateful for her kindness and the difference she made for my family that day. We will definitely be coming back!”

Having access to a child friendly space for the duration, being able to bring in your own food and drinks made it nice and easy. We were very pleased with the set up and ease for the party! “I’ve taken my kids to Auckland Adventure Park a few times and they absolutely love the luge and the 4D cinema! It’s a fantastic place for children aged 4 through to teens. For younger kids—especially those in preschool and primary school—it’s an amazing venue for birthday parties. Their castle-themed party room is a real highlight, perfect for children who love medieval and knight-themed adventures. For older kids, the zipline and VR games offer plenty of excitement too. Highly recommended for a fun family day out or a memorable birthday celebration!”

“The kanu glow worm tour at night was amazing! Our tour guides Derek and Joe made it so enjoyable. They were fun to talk to and informative. Joe was very knowledgeable and shared with us so many scientific facts and the Māori story on glowworms. Highly recommend a must do! Also the McLaren falls park is very underrated and a definite good stopover for a night to camp”

“Loved heading there today on a drizzly day following a three day tramp at Island Hills Station. Great variety of pools of different temperatures, and although extremely busy, there was plenty of space for everyone. Pretty expensive entry prices, so have to go for a whole day if taking the family. Discounted entry price for AA members.”

Getting There Getting to Poripori Water Holes is pretty straightforward: Park: Find a spot in the gravel area along Poripori Road. Cross the River: You’ll need to hop across the Wairoa River. It's good to wear some shoes. Follow the Path: Look for a narrow path that leads you through some rocks and bush. There is also a path through the forrest. A bit hard to find when you go there. Easier when you go back. Head Left: Once you’re through, take a left to find the water holes. “Wonderful place to bring family and friends! We had an (arctic) blast last time we went, had a lot to do and see with all the activities and shows althroughout. Please note though that rides do have a height requirement which they are a bit strict with for safety reasons. The rest are pretty accessible to the young and young at heart. A bit pricey but you doget a lot of enjoyment and knowledge out of it.”

“For the price it's not bad, especially if you haven't been to a theme park before. The lines for the rides were surprisingly not a long wait. We went on a Saturday and spent the whole day there. So I recommend to come early and try all the rides.”
