I had a very urgent request for a very small item sold at Cake Stuff, living in Auckland I couldn’t not find one anywhere. Not only was I greeted with the friendliest of replies when I enquired, but they went out of their way to stop everything they were doing, package the item up for me and visit the NZPost up the road, before the money was even transferred. “Always a clean and presentable supermarket like most new worlds, however personally I've not yet come across a new world that makes pies like the supermarket. -Gourmet steak and blue vein pie 9.2/10 Very suprised this hasn't won any awards. They dont spare it on the blue vein, and steak peices are very high quality. If you love blue vein cheese, you'll love this. - Steak, bacon, and cheese pie 8.6/10 All aspects of this pie are on point. Would have been higher if it was the same.shape as the steak and blue vein. However, it's still a great pie.”

“OMG this place deserves a gold ten-star rating. This large converted building has a warm rustic vibe & is complete with a wood-burning fire for those wet, chilly days. The staff are welcoming & the menu & cabinet selection is simply next level & at reasonable price points given the exceptional quality & variety on offer. I had the rosti stack & my fella had the sweet corn fritters with side salad. They did not disappoint - they tasted as good as they looked. The organic Havana coffee was also excellent. If you are in Hawkes Bay you simply must take a detour - it will be the best food you’ve tucked into in ages. This place beats anything we have frequented in years! There’s also a wide selection of giftware for children & adults.”

“I came here for the Wednesday $19 meals. The portions were great and the taste excellent. The lamb shank had rich gravy over it. The batter on the fish was light and crisp. The steak was done to a perfect medium rare. The only downside was I wished the apple and rhubarb crumble had more rhubarb, but it was delicious.”
