Bangkok House keeps things classic fish-and-chips and focused on flavour. Noodles arrive glossy and well seasoned. A sensible spend for the quality. Woks keep a quick pace and good sear. Portions suit sharing without losing balance.
Ordered Pad Thai – extra spicy. It was mild. The noodles looked more like linguine than traditional pad Thai noodles too. Still, it was decent.
The best of the best Thai food in Napier. I would recommend Garlic Duck which I have it for 3 consecutive days! Super yum and nice restaurant to give a try =)

We took the kids there on a Monday evening. The restaurant had 4 items on the kids menu: chicken and chips, fish and chips, chicken fried rice, or chicken noodles. My kids had chicken and chips and the chicken noodles. The chicken and food are the same as you'd get anywhere else which, of course, is a good thing. We have a finicky eater who wouldn't have it any other way. And, the chicken noodles was perfect for the other kid who is a little more adventurous but not so much that I'm buying him a $20 meal. The chicken noodles were perfect. He got to try some Thai food that was mild enough for him to enjoy it. I was a little disappointed that my pineapple fried rice wasn't served in a pineapple. It tastes better in the pineapple, but it was still good.
We came upon Bangkok House as it was close to where we were staying and were delighted at the experience and great food they prepare. This restaurant has a lovely Thai ambience, great service and wonderful food with that classic Thai flavour. We will definately be going back again, and recommend it to anyone who likes classic Thai taste.
