“Loved it out here!!Clean toilets. The only thing is you have to make sure you bring your own water as the water there is not potable but you can go to Leeston and refill up at the fire station or download the app refill N.Z and use the locations available for drinking water. Also no showers but the freshwater creek is awesome lol ....suitable for kids as water is shallow. Definately go back there again.”

“Governors Bay Fete opened 20th October. It was fun and I had a great day. Seemed everybody enjoyed and kids loved.”

“Had a spin on the ol disc golf course the other weekend and they have tidied this place up alot. Trees are trimmed and the park it's self has improved alot from a couple years back. The 9 hole course is a great quick game and everyone I have bumped into have been good sorts.”

“Really nice walk up to the top of the adventure park! Can be quite steep at places especially as you head towards the end. We visited just after the park had re-opened from the recent Port Hill fires and we stopped off to look at the full extent of the damage caused by the fires earlier in the year. No cafe or anything like that to be found at the top but great views that rival the views from the Christchurch Gondola. You're even able to have a free ride down on the chairlift if you've managed to make it up to the top!”

“Super easy walk most levels will handle this trek. Birds singing and basking in the sun. Fantails darting around to guide you through the winding trail.”

“Great scooter/skatepark for the kids with adjacent playground and public toilets. The mini trains next to it run every Sunday from 1 to 4pm as well, and they are always a hit with the kids! Moreover, the Halswell Library is a short drive away. It's large and well-stocked with a cute café and swimming pool that opens in summer.”

“Fantastic & Free!! Stayed a night in my Non Self Contained Van, I love freedom camping, this place is fabulous, heaps of room. Flush toilets.”

“One of the nicest places in the city for Sunday high tea brunch. French creperie with multiple choices of both sweet and sour French crepes, including some vegan options. There are plenty of suggested options, but you can also go wild and create your own one. Crepes are really amazing, very tasty, good size portions and amazing taste. It’s really great that there is vegan options available, made of buckwheat. If you have not enough of sugar you can finish with a great desert selection. Coffee is slightly bitter and not the best blend , but tea selection is perfect.”

“Zachary is a weapon at finding the right jeans fit. If you are vertically challenged and have gym legs, ask the tall guy what jeans are the best. Also, the greet upon entry was a solid welcoming.”

“We went to The Old Leithfield Hotel for dinner on a busy Saturday night (super rugby final) with our 5 month old baby. Even though we didn't have a booking the friendly wait staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we were comfortable. We both had the roast which was generous and delicious. The beef was tender and the veges perfect it was the best pub experience with a young baby, and the best roast beef. We also had the salt and pepper squid entree which was fantastic. Perfectly tender and crispy! Thank you very much to the team at The Old Leithfield Hotel.”

“Great coffee and a place to do some laptop work. There are plenty of seats as the cafe is technically a hall. It is huge. The cafe is part of the event center but at the same time works as a separate entity. I will return more often to do digital work online and have great coffee in the future. This was my first time here today.”

“My favorite cinema in Christchurch. Titan luxe is a great experience - sound is amazing, the seats are comfortable, and the food meets expectations. Can't wait to go here again.”

“It was just amazing! We stopped by a few minutes before 2pm - didn't know that the kitchen closes at 2pm. They didn't send us away but seated us with a smile! Food was delicious, big portion.. really great experience thank you!:)”
