My family and I been going to this place from time to time over the years since North and South closed but Iβve been enjoying it less and less so Iβll never be going again. $48 for two for yum cha gave us a disappointing experience. The spring rolls were appalling and straight out of a box from China or Vietnam, by their own admission, BBQ pork not good, deep fried wontons were just over cook- cooked hunks of dough possibly pre-made out of Asian also, and the calamari barely enjoyable. The portions are larger spoiling the yum cha experience and just increasing prices. What a waste of $48!

Overall the roast pork, roast duck, steamed blue cod is so so, the BBQ pork is tasteless. We had lunch then following day at another Chinese restaurant and the contrast was heaven and earth. We hope the owners will take the comments constructively and improve the quality

The good: 1. Hotel and Sour Soup was good once we added additional vinegar. 2. Pork BBQ Buns were good. 3. I had Sizzling Beef with ginger and onions. Overall good. It did not come out Sizzling, but had good flavor. 4. My spouse had Beef with Black bean sauce. It was very flavorful. The bad: Service was slow and not good. 1. Took awhile to get server attention to order. 2. Took a long time for the soup and pork buns. Thought it was the pork buns taking awhile, but the soup came 5 minutes later. 3 my Beef with ginger came out next. No Rice cam out. 10 minutes of waiting for rice and my spouse dish, rice came out and it was wrong. We ordered white rice and fried rice was what they brought out. They quickly corrected that. Finally after that, my spouse dish came out. By this time my dish was half finished and cold. The Ugly. Atmosphere was okay except for the fact that a waiter only cleaned the dishes off table next to us and left the table and floor totally dirty. Never came back to wipe down the table and clean floor. Looked pretty disgusting.

11/10 dim sum spot. Everything was delicious and fresh. Quick, polite service. Weekends have fresh baked pork and custard buns. Very reasonably priced. Menu has pictures and color coded pricing for each set of items ranging from $5.90 to $9.90 with the odd higher priced dish like the Peking duck. Wish I had more room to try more things. We will definitely be back.

Pricy but worth it. Amazing Yamchar here. No wonder for the great reviews. Customer service is good too. Specially the chill oil is perfect! Happy to come back. Thank you.

First time here and this restaurant offers a commendable culinary experience overall, with flavors that leave a positive impression. While the taste is generally satisfying, the pricing might be considered a tad high for some. The variety of dim sum is good and I can tell that they use quality ingredients. However, the steamed vermicelli roll fell short of personal preference, possibly due to its texture (thick and a bit chewy). The ambiance and service are noteworthy, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. I would not say the pricing is the most affordable dim sum choice in town but not too bad.

Westernised foods does not taste authentic at all, price is slightly high compare to food quality, service is slow. Very crowded, recommend to make reservation in advance. Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings) seasoning are good but the skin is too thick. Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Roll) is too thick too and the shrimps were too little, it wasn't able to absorb the soysauce to infuse it's flavouring. Xiaolongbao is disappointing, totally dry and no broth from the bun, and taste bland. BBQ pork bun is too dry, colouring and taste are way off. Overall still a good place for Dim Sum / Yumcha.

Food is not bad at all but a little on the high side. 2 dishes plus 1 plain egg fried rice for NZ$81. The premium they can charge is admirable and inspiring. Also, service is darn good and accommodating!
