   I wanted something special, and Medertraine Food Company truly delivered. The food was delicious with real Italian flavour, and the staff were gorgeous, so warm and even chatted to our little girls in Spanish. The ambiance was beautiful, and we ended the visit with a lovely browse through and purchases from their Italian supermarket. Highly recommend!

   I’ve been waiting almost a year to visit this place. The products at Riverside Market are amazing, and I wanted to check out the restaurant before leaving the city. The pizza was spectacular: thin, crispy crust with fresh ingredients that really enhanced the flavor—such an explosion of taste! What really disappointed me was that a kind customer informed me she saw the person who made my affogato touch the ice cream with her hands twice, to help it come off the tool they use to serve it. This made me feel really uncomfortable. I told the person who took my payment, but since my English is hard to understand, I think she didn’t fully understand me. It was an amazing experience overall, but learning about the ice cream left a bad taste in my mouth.

   I was amazed that i hadn’t heard of this place sooner! Not only do they have great food but they even have an amazing selection of foods to buy! I was shocked by the quality of ingredients and fair pricing. They have a large selection of cheeses for a great price, a-lot better than your average supermarket. We had lunch while we were here and the pasta’s were super yummy! Everyone loved their dishes and they were great potion sizes too. The focaccia is a must have as well as the chocolate mouse (if you get the chance). It was a dark chocolate with dried raspberries, it doesn’t get any better than that. I would love to come here again! Especially to shop through the deli. It was also our first time trying fruit nectar. Its thick like a syrup so we watered it down but it would go nicely with a sparkling drink.

   Really great shop in here with some nice (cheap!!) wines and lots of med classics - I come here to buy dolma (both arabic and greek types available here on my last visit). The staff are very friendly and attentive. When we went for the lunch the majority of customers were of the older persuasion, which might explain the pasta - it was quite watery and bland. We all had to put a lot of chilli oil and flakes on our food. I was excited to try the focaccia but it seemed a bit stale. However, I have heard good things about the pizza (have not tried it) and the wine was nice!!

   The food was nice at the Mediterranean food company. I attended a Christmas work do and we had the set menu. The salami and prosciutto was really nice. The pizza and platter was yum. The risotto was done slightly under what I personally like, if not it's a really nice dish favour wise. This is also my first time trying a proper Risotto. And lastly, we can never get enough of dessert which was tiramisu. The food supermarket have a great variety of food to look at and choose from to buy
