“I arrived last week in an ambulance after a hip replacement elsewhere to be greeted by a bulging ED with resources clearly stretched. Despite that I was seen quite quickly and was admitted for a cardioversion. The procedure was completed quickly and effectively the next morning. Despite being a large and complex facility the staff were terrific; thanks to the cardiologists, theatre staff, nurses on Ward 10 and the many others who assisted. All were super helpful and cheerful which was much appreciated.”

“Another great experience as a walk-in. I arrived early and waited at the door before the 8am opening. I saw the triage nurse, then doctor, had an x-ray then doctor again, all within an hour. I had a broken bone in my foot so was in a lot of pain but the staff here were all so kind and caring.”

I been to some other clinics in christchurch before that and the response from the doctors overthere were awful.They neither had the patience to listen to the patient nor proper diagnostic skills. Fortunately , I got a chance to meet Dr. Catherine Thomas in the Hillmed Clinics. She was absolutely stellar. She listened to my problems and studied about my medical history. Her diagnosis was spot on and she discussed with me about condition and treatment plans which worked out well for me. To put in right words, it was that kind of treatment exactly what a patient expects when going to meet a doctor. A good doctor should be kind enough to listen to her patient and must be able to create a statergic plan discussing with patient which I found in Dr. Catherine Thomas. I highly recommend her for all those who are still in search for a good doctor in Christchurch.”

“It's never nice to have to take a trip to the after hours but the staff at Pegasus are fantastic. They're always so thorough and empathetic. I've been to there after hours twice now for 2 different urgent issues, I've also accompanied family members there when they've had health scares and all those times the doctors there have always been professional and treated us with kindness. They're probably so overworked and undervalued but they still put their best foot forward to treat those that need them. The wait times can be long but it's a great place to go if you want great doctors and nurses and access to a lot of the medical equipment and resources required for a vast array of emergency treatments.”

I never feel rushed and he has come through for me on personal issues time after time . His nurse is absolutely terrific and the centres staff first class . Even rings me at home if she needs to. Ive also had appointments with ben, another great dr who listens and also tries to come up with the right meds etc , The receptionists have been nothing but kind and respectful. If you want to join, dont listen to the negative comments.”
