Every time I've called I've had to wait an average of 10 minutes for the phone to be answered. Today I called at 12.30 and the answer machine said if you call between the lunchbreak time of 12 - 1 and need medical attention you should call Healthline and it hung up! I was astounded that a doctors surgery would shut down for a whole hour during the day. I simply wanted to tell them I am no longer a patient and to stop sending me text reminders for things. It seems they don't have enough receptionists to get the job done adequately, let alone to high standard. New doctors also had trouble getting hold of them for essential information. Not recommended.

Absolutely useless. Unfriendly receptionists, always running late, unwilling to book appointments, not following the same procedures as other TΔmaki practices or other GPs. Do not waste your time or money here. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Rang a week ago to get an appointment for my son to get counseling as he needs mental health help urgently. Told receptionist how important it is he is seen ASAP. Was told Michael is away, (wouldn't he have a locum seeing his patients?) And I'd be put on the cancelation list but nobody called me. Rang again yesterday with a sore throat needing a throat swab for covid or strep throat which I'm sure nurse can do. Was told no appointments till the 22nd of July. If your sick this kind of wait isn't good enough. Plus even though I'm always on time to my appointments my doctor is always late so be prepared to sit and wait a long time. Might be time to change docs. Receptionists aren't helpful at all. They dont even answer phones at 8am when they open.

Fabulous Doctor, smart, caring, professional, thorough, personable! So hope the rest of the doctors there apply the same set of skills for all patients!! Very busy surgery, nice enough receptionist but busy front desk, so little pleasantries, money exchange is prompt! Tidy and clean premises, TYVM

Dear Shirley medical Iβm writing to express my ongoing frustration regarding the consistent delays experienced with Dr. Linda McPherson. At every appointment Iβve had with her, she has been significantly late β on two occasions, I waited over an hour to be seen. What I find particularly difficult to understand is how such extensive delays occur when, during my actual appointments, everything is efficient and brief. Today, I left university early and carefully arranged my schedule, including school pickups, to attend my babyβs appointment. We waited 35 minutes past the scheduled time, and even then, it was clear we still werenβt close to being seen. I had to leave without the appointment due to my other commitments β which I had carefully managed around the time I was given. It is extremely frustrating that if a patient is late, the appointment is either cancelled or marked as a no-show, yet a doctor can consistently run excessively late with no accountability. When I approached the reception to explain, I was simply asked if I wanted to rebook. Honestly, I just want to be seen on time. If this were a one-off issue, I would understand β things happen. But itβs clearly a pattern. This doesnβt seem to be the case with other staff, so Iβve now rebooked with someone else for Friday. However, this has still resulted in wasted time and unnecessary stress. I urge the clinic to consider implementing better time management systems or patient communication when delays occur, especially for families with young children who rely on punctual scheduling. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope steps will be taken to ensure this doesnβt continue. Kind regards

Literally off the phone from reception, and she was the rudest coldest woman I've ever come across. Absolutely no help "no, go to after hours" and hangs up. Disgusting attitude.

Extremely rude receptionist, I've told my partner to go somewhere else. Disappointed to see other reviews saying the same thing. Clearly, nothing gets done at this doctor's.

Reception are very rude and very passive agressive and definitely not helpful, my Dr requested to see me for an appointment when I saw her around 6weeks - 2 months ago. I called up to ask why, as I have seen my Dr so much recently and if I can get a call back from a nurse or even my Dr very quickly. The receptionist said I'm not a Dr make an appointment and find out... So I had to make an appointment to find out why I was requested for this appointment.... this is not at all professional basically telling me I need to spend more money before I find out and I'm actually very disgusted. My Dr did say medication renewals should be roughly every 3months. Iv been seeing my Dr every month - 2 months. I don't know if this is money gathering technique as iv never seen a Dr this much at any other practice my whole life. If this does continue I'll definitely be wanting the owner/ managing director to do an investigation when I make a complaint. The Dr's are actually very lovely, it's a shame how the reception the face of the business treat there patients, iv heard how they speak to people on the phone also when in the waiting room. I'm genuinely surprised with what they think is acceptable to say to patients, it's also concerning to see there are multiple complaints about reception. If this behavior continues I'll be seriously considering changing medical practices, which is very sad because the doctors are extremely helpful and supportive, my doctor genuinely cares for my health and always goes the extra step to help me. It's a shame that the reception are letting the place down.

DISGUSTING ATTITUDE from the receptionist answering the phone. After being put straight on hold for ages (I mean 4-5minutes is a while on hold at reception..maybe short staffed?) She answered and literally said ok what do you want? .. When I asked about enrollment there she rattled off a list of names and fees which meant nothing to me as I hadn't been before and I was looking for a new gp. I went to say this but she interupted and says "shall I book you in then!?" As in hurry up.. I asked a question about coming in as a casual and she snapped that she had already explained the prices. That wasn't my question and I would feel very hesitant about trusting any business that had receptionists treating patients or potential clients like that, even if they were very busy I was just asking about availability, a list of prices isn't very helpful without context. Maybe working with customers just isn't what the doctor ordered for you.
