Honestly this can't be legal. I have dangouresly low cortisol which could very well lead into a life threating emergancy. Call up cause very faint, bodys cold, stomach pain etc. Sit there for 4 hours. All they did was give me codine and paracetamol. Then doctor comes and tells me nothing we can do so go home. So here I am feeling worse saying I'm feeling worse and they sent me home. 0 tests. 0 care at all. How good.

The staff at Christchurch hospital will always be 5 Stars. Any issues I've seen here are always due to lack of funding and never lack of heart. I've spent a lot of time recently in Chch Hospital due to my Dad having cancer and take my hat off to all of the Nurses and Doctors. Special shout out to Dr Caleb Lucas and his team in Oncology + The legendary Nurses in the Medical Progressive Care Ward. It's always brought our family peace knowing he's in good hands. Thank you legends for everything you do - tax money well spent !

we had a lovely Guy name Bo offering to take mum in a wheelchair to the Waipapa Car park across the road mum just had a fall and she doesn't walk without struggle to begin with he did this on his break, May i suggest though in the future there was a way for the public to take Wheelchairs to this carpark and have a lockup area where people could use a wheelchair and then just put it in the lockup and staff members pick them up during the day. i mean car parking is hard to get at the Hospital so people are having to park far away and if they have older patients who can't walk distances it would help

βββββ Extremely poor delivery experience at christchurch Hospital (Radiology Department delivery) Iβm a truck driver who delivers medical equipment to hospitals around Christchurch. Today I had to deliver a single piece of freight for the Radiology Department at ChristChurch Hospital β and it turned into a 30-minute nightmare. This hospital has a brand-new loading dock, shared by multiple couriers, rubbish trucks, and milk delivery vehicles. Yet the whole inbound goods system is completely chaotic. Thereβs only one lady in the mail room (an Indian lady who is obviously overwhelmed and frustrated). Sheβs kind but refused to sign for any items because βitβs not her job.β Meanwhile, dozens of people were constantly coming in and out of the mail room asking for help or business. To complete a single delivery, I had to call the department directly β first a nurse answered, who didnβt even know where the loading dock was. Then I was given another phone number to call someone else to come down and sign. It took more than half an hour of pointless waiting just to hand over one delivery. Itβs unbelievable that a large public hospital can have such a disorganized inward-goods system. There is no proper process, no accountability, and no respect for driversβ time. This experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I sincerely hope this hospital can improve its delivery management system β because right now, itβs a total mess.

I arrived last week in an ambulance after a hip replacement elsewhere to be greeted by a bulging ED with resources clearly stretched. Despite that I was seen quite quickly and was admitted for a cardioversion. The procedure was completed quickly and effectively the next morning. Despite being a large and complex facility the staff were terrific; thanks to the cardiologists, theatre staff, nurses on Ward 10 and the many others who assisted. All were super helpful and cheerful which was much appreciated.

Yin and Yang, or Black and White, either hate it or love it. The new parts are 'wow' but the old parts are just that old and cold. Miles to walk, forget the high heels and always bring a warm jacket for the long waits. Cafe's wouldn't bother much unless really need it. Doctors great, staff neat, but its the long walks and zero parking that kills it....Take a uber!

Doctors and staff are very personable. Facility is very nice. Went to ER for a checkup after getting in an accident with another car and everyone was very kind and the process quick. The only down side was getting a parking ticket. I was still in a bit of shock from the accident and blanked on 30 min parking signs.

I have just spent a week in christchurch hospital. Thank you to the surgeon, doctors, nurses, ambulance people, porters, and all other staff that made my stay such a wonderful experience. You are all amazing. We are so lucky to have this amazing place. The food was also great

I tried for over an hour to get a park at the hospital last week after my 9yo daughter broke her arm in 2 places. The school didn't even give her pain relief before I scooped her up and rushed her into ED. What major hospital doesn't have parking? Especially ones that have just been revamped. When they were redesigning the place, why didn't the idiots add a rooftop or basement carpark? So, we have this beautiful hospital, but no one can get to it. Next time, I'm just going to call Ambo and blame the parking situation as the reason. My daughter was in agonising pain. It was an emergency, but she couldn't get to emergency.

It is actually a good hospital with good general staff and good medical staff. However long waits at A and E are not good and the car parking for most staff and the general public is appalling. Even the disabled car parking is full and unavailable far too much of the time. To make it worse the senior staff and managers get car parks. A perfect example of do what I say not what I do. That is, "I am important but not you!" They really need to sort that sort of nonsense. It really is unacceptable! Do I have confidence in being delivered quality service. I think I do believe this is true but do worry about being rushed out the door when the hospital is busy.
