    Wouldn't recommend this outfit if it was the last Optometrist left open in Canterbury ! OPSM have taken over and all the good people have gone - once there were people here with skin in the game who cared about their customers, who were professional and who gave great service - not any longer ! Another great local business wrecked by a multi national who only looks at the bottom line.

    I had an eye test on 4th October 2024. My eyes hadn't changed much since the last test but decided to strengthen the lenses in my glasses I use for watching TV and driving. Because I wasn't changing my frames the glasses were sent away for new lenses. I was told this could take up to 3 to 4 weeks. Early November I rang to see where my glasses were and was told it could take another 2 weeks. I rang again and was told because of some problem with a machine it could be another 4 weeks and may not be back before Christmas. At this point I was over it. By this time it was middle of November. I told the receptionist to send the glasses back as is. I asked where they were and she said they were in Auckland and could be 5 days before I received them back. The Money I had paid up front for the glasses was refunded back into my bank account. I rang again when they still had not arrived and was told they are being sent back from Australia and could be another 2 weeks before they arrive in New Zealand. I have never had such poor service from a Company before and would never recommend anyone to get their glasses from OPSM. It is diabolical the run-around I have had.

    The staff members were friendly, but they should get more training with the system. We visited on Saturday to purchase prescription glasses and spent about an hour there. The staff seemed uncertain about using the system, especially when applying the Southern Cross discount to our about $1000 purchase. They politely asked if we could return the next day, but unfortunately, we needed the transaction completed right away, so we won’t be coming back.

    I have been coming to this practice for 23 years. I loved this practice- not any more. This wonderful practice is no more, new staff/ownership by OPSM has RUINED customer care and service. I feel sorry for my Optometrist, having to now work with the new awful, rude, careless staff that now work at the front desk- says ALOT about the new owners OPSM?! Their disgusting attitude towards customers, their complete inability to pick up a phone, speaking to customers as if we are an annoyance and not to forget the way they whisper to each other behind the desk while watching customers in-store... nice one guys. I'm appalled and upset by what has been done to my one healthcare provider I thought was solid. I don't usually get this upset however with my past weeks experience over the phone and today in store - that was it. I would of loved to call up to talk to your guys manager but why would I bother?!

    First class in every way. Superlative customer service, and an awesome range of frames at very competitive prices. Super quick turnaround of my order which cost the same for 2 pairs of glasses (progressive lenses in regular specs and a pair of sunnies) as I was quoted for one pair from another optometrist. Highly recommend.

    Very kind, caring optometrist. Welcoming staff, very tidy, clean premises. They have their own carpark, and private consulting rooms. Their technology makes the appointment quick and efficient, and my appointment was prompt and on time. I was made to feel at ease by the Optometrist who did the eye examination.excellent service.

    I happened to visit after being advised by another eye care place in Rangiora. My Mum who is in care, managed to damage the frame around her glasses. The staff and lab tech could not have been more helpful, speedily efficient and very reasonably priced to remedy Mums glasses back to their best. Thanks again for the great service.

    I made an appointment for an exam, I have Keretaconus and not been seen by an optometrist for some time. The person I saw explained everything very clearly and listened to what I said as well. The customer service from all of the staff I dealt with was first class and i am very happy with the outcome and the glasses that i have been fitted with.
