“I have a very specific body type, so finding jeans that actually fit me are near impossible. The staff here were so helpful when it came to helping me find my match, handing me what must have been almost 20 pairs of jeans before I found the right pair. I would have been so lost without them, and they went to great lengths to find them for me, so I know I just couldn't have done it without them.”
“Quick and easy stop to grab a last minute birthday gift! Sefa knew the brand that I wanted and quickly grabbed a few cool pieces for me to choose from. Hubby loved them! Thanks a bunch!”
“Great little store with a variety of action figures and collectibles. Surprised to find Xenomorph NECA line and just had to pick up this amazing NECA Kenner line Rhino Alien. Store staff was super friendly and obviously a huge sci-fi fan as well. If you’re looking for collectibles especially horror oriented, FUNKO or Neca, can’t go wrong going here:)”
“Excellent communication and service. My parcel arrived today to the South Island just after 3 days of my order. All items packed with care, nothing was broken. Thank you for your service!”
“Sculpture and bush walks were great and the shop & cafe good. We were very impressed about whole experience. You can choose different routes and activities, we did all 3 paths 4km and 1,5h when stopping at times too.”
“This place is great, lots of tasty, good food to choose from, they also have a butcher next door and a hair salon inside and lots more, go check it out. It's clean and tidy, been going here for a couple of years now.”
“Everything you need great customer service”
“Japan Mart City Centre is honestly the best hidden gem in town! Everything is so affordable, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Every time I walk in, I feel so welcomed it has such a wholesome, inviting vibe. Definitely my go-to spot for Japanese goodies!”
“Tried the Bethells and Wigmore burgers from here and enjoyed both. The bun was good quality and burgers decently sized. Only open Thurs - Sat in the evening so make sure to check their opening hours beforehand.”
“Ordered some soap dispensers. Stock was out but amazingly got a phone call advising this with various options for me. With stock not far away waiting was best and the dispensers were delivered earlier than expected. Great to have some good old fashioned customer service. Thanks.”
“Very nice cafe in the city. People there are super friendly and nice! Smoked salmon in the egg Benedict was my highlight, will definitely recommend! The miso brownie is also one of my favorites, very unique taste and delicious!”
“Hi! I recently had the absolute pleasure of shopping at KOOKAÏ in Commercial Bay, and I cannot recommend this store enough! First of all, their clothing selection is amazing! For the first time in my life, I tried on a miniskirt that made me feel truly confident—and I’m beyond excited to wear it out. But what made this experience truly unforgettable was the incredible service from one of their employees, Alice. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect size. When the size I needed was sold out at Commercial Bay, she immediately located it at another nearby store and arranged to have it put on hold for me. While this might be standard practice, her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care were anything but ordinary. Alice truly made my day, and she’s the reason this shopping trip stands out as one of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, KOOKAÏ, for a wonderful experience—I’ll definitely be back!”
“Great selection of Japanese foods and products! I bought some green tea, desserts and frozen items, everything was absolutely delicious. It really feels like being in Japan .”
“Clean tidy shop.a credit to its owners and workers”
“Mighty ape you’ve done it again!! I ordered a year back when I discovered your business and had a pleasant experience. I don’t need to buy much but decided to order through you for some Christmas shopping. I had a delightful experience. I opted to collect my items and didn’t have to wait any longer than a minute!!! I was blown away by the efficiency. The girl whom I spoke to, I believe her name was Sadie, was very kind and we shared a laugh. All the workers roaming around were very welcoming and respectful. Amazing business you’ve got here. I will definitely purchase some more for end of year sales. Thank you mighty ape .”
“Looks like a cool old kind of of place with some shops around. I been to library for JP, waited for half an hour and then she said her time is over..”
“Normally cheaper than supermarkets and the fruit and veg is good quality.”
“Best local supermarket. Great selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. Really good quality and affordable with friendly service. Highly rate it!”
“Been coming to the store quite frequently - as well as my co-workers. It's my go-to spot for all things Korean. The store has an incredible variety of products. Staff are accommodating, friendly, and kind. Laughs with them too sometimes! Plus, they give me knowledge about the foods I'm curious about - makes it easier for me to decide, considering the variety. The store is clean, well-organized, and a joy to shop in.”
“Best Pak n Save branch I've been too. Their bakery is excellent offering fresh cream doughnuts, Leamingtons etc that many other branches are limited on. Also some exclusive bargains here, not available at other stores and a 10 cent discount fuel voucher instead of the usual 6 cents. Well done!”
“I love this store. Very clean, tidy shelving, easy to find items. The isles are quite wide for a small store, so no one bumps into each other. Produce is fresh. Meat selection is good. It has this really calming feel for simmering so stressful for me as grocery shopping.”
“Pak’nSave Albany is one of the bigger branches on the North Shore, and it definitely shows. The store is spacious, fairly modern, and usually well-stocked, making it a popular choice for families and bulk shoppers. It keeps to the classic Pak’nSave model — low prices, minimal decor, and a focus on practicality over presentation — but the Albany location feels a bit more polished than some of the older ones. The layout is easy to follow, with wide aisles and clear signage, so you’re not bumping trolleys every few seconds. The shelves are usually full, especially earlier in the day, and there’s a decent range of both budget brands and the more well-known labels. Prices are, as expected, very competitive. You’ll find good specials across most departments, and if you’re shopping for a big household, it’s one of the better options to keep costs down. The fresh produce section is generally reliable. Some days the quality is top notch, other times it’s more average — pretty normal for Pak’nSave. The meat section offers good value and a decent selection, and the bakery is basic but has all the essentials. There’s also a reasonable selection of international foods, which reflects the local community well. Staff are usually friendly enough, though it’s mostly a self-service experience unless you go looking for help. Checkout times are fairly efficient, with a good number of lanes open during busy periods and a decent set of self-service checkouts for smaller shops. The carpark is big, but it does fill up, especially on weekends. That said, it’s well laid out and doesn’t feel like a fight to find a spot, even when it’s busy. Being close to other stores and amenities makes it easy to combine errands in one trip. One thing to note, like at other Pak’nSaves, is that what’s advertised online might not always match what’s in store, so it’s worth shopping with a bit of flexibility. All up, Pak’nSave Albany is a good choice if you want decent prices, a clean store, and enough space to do a full shop without feeling crammed in. It’s practical, reliable, and does exactly what you’d expect — no frills, just solid savings.”
“I absolutely loved your Portuguese tarts — they were the best! I’ve been looking for them lately but can’t seem to find them. Where have they gone? Hope to see them back soon!”
“Staff are super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. In store butcher is one of the best around, parking can be a bit hectic at times but they're truly a part of the Birkenhead and wider North Shore community.”
“A really lovely young man on the checkout today. He's always so pleasant and friendly. Beautiful smile. A pleasure to see a young person who can engage in conversation and provide quality customer service...the pies are good too.”
“This is my favourite shop in Auckland... They have an extensive range of organic and natural products, including fresh produce, all pantry products, and supplements and skin/ hair care etc. I love that this shop is also independently owned. Highly recommended!”
“One of the last supermarkets in Auckland who actually still provide customer care and service. The range is good the store is clean, however you will find this in most supermarkets. The staff are awesome, friendly helpful and polite. Even the guy picking up the trolleys was friendly you just dont get this anymore well done to everyone great team really A++++”

“A very neat and clean New World supermarket around Victoria park. Has all the daily groceries you need. Totally loved shopping experience.”
