My bag full of important documents was taken from me in-store a few weeks ago and I was treated with such humanity and care that it blew me away. The staff and security were quick to act and made tireless efforts reviewing and monitoring the security footage and searching the store. They gave me good advice on what I can do if I don't find my documents. I was emotional and they treated me with kindness comforting me and offering me water, tissues and even a voucher to finish my shopping because I lost my wallet. In the end they found my bag and advised me to take more care next time. I wish I got everyone else's names as well but I would like to thank the store manager Chaghan especially for managing his team so incredibly in this situation. These people deserve commendation and blessings beyond this review but this is all I have to give. Thank you.

Bought a cooked roast pork for dinner today 7/10, as for the ‘’ tangy coleslaw that’s a different story I’ll give it -8/10, when I got home it was leaking bad sign like it wasn’t sealed properly, had a small taste and it was absolutely revolting taste like it was scrapped up off the floor recently and stuck into a container labelled as use by on the 20th, in 4 days, it like 20th of last month- it’s not the first time your food has been off, it’s hit and miss with the steak mostly miss…. Common pick your game up in quality control. I have no problem posting

Pak’nSave Mt Albert is one of those classic budget supermarkets that gets the job done without trying to be anything more than it is. If you’re after cheap groceries and don’t mind a bit of hustle and bustle, it’s a solid spot. It’s not the biggest Pak’nSave around, but it’s well-stocked and pretty efficient. The store itself has a bit of an older feel, but it’s laid out in a way that makes it easy enough to navigate. Aisles can get a little tight when it’s busy, especially around the produce and meat sections, but nothing too dramatic. It has that typical no-frills setup — everything’s functional and geared toward practicality rather than presentation. Prices are where Mt Albert delivers. You can definitely save a fair bit here, especially if you’re stocking up on everyday items or buying for a big household. The fresh produce section can be hit or miss depending on what day you go — sometimes you’ll find great fruit and veg, other times it looks like it’s been sitting out too long. The meat department usually has good deals, but again, check the dates. Bakery and dairy sections are basic but cover the essentials. Staff are usually fine — not overly chatty, but if you ask for help, they’ll point you in the right direction. It’s more of a grab-what-you-need-and-go atmosphere, like most Pak’nSaves. The checkout area can get pretty busy during the afternoon and weekend peaks, but they do try to keep things moving. Self-checkouts are available and help a lot with smaller shops. Parking is okay. The carpark isn’t massive and can get tight, especially during school run hours or weekends. You’ve got to be a bit patient getting in and out, but it’s not the worst out there. Like most Pak’nSaves, what you see online doesn’t always match what’s on the shelves, so don’t rely too heavily on the website if you’re coming in for something specific. Overall, Pak’nSave Mt Albert is a practical, no-fuss supermarket where the focus is on savings over style. If you’re shopping with a budget in mind and don’t care too much about extras or presentation, it’ll serve you well.

Good produce and special. Fish department offer to clean and gut fish free of charge which is a nice service. Though doesn't have trolleys with infant seats for young babies so had to carry my baby around for my whole shop (pays to take a carrier or capsule but you're limited to putting it inside trolley). Staff were friendly though.

There are better Pak n Save Supermarkets elsewhere. Mt Albert needs a revamp/upgrade. Not the cleanest and the toilets are yuck. It's a busy place, so it's always short of items, and I've found better specials at Countdown. They do have awesome staff! Friendly and helpful! If it wasn't for their butchery and seafood area, I probably wouldn't shop there, and I do prefer to shop at Countdown.

I have been using this Pak'nSave for the last 4 years and I can say that if there's something I need I know without fail that I can get in at Pak'nSave Mt. Albert. The shop is spacious and very well organised and I can find the things I'm looking for easily. The prices are fantastically low compared to other grocery stores I've been to and I always manage to get what I need within my budget. It's also great that they have a 10c discount on fuel after you've bought products there and with the petrol price hikes over the last 3 years I've made good use of this amazing discount. The staff who work there are also very helpful and they all seem to know where to find what product I'm looking for. I have never had any bad quality products and I am very impressed with the service that is given. I'd highly recommend this Pak'nSave to anyone shopping in this area.

Love the value for money spread considering how expensive NZ can be… at least I get a sense on what the local community consumes… :-)
