Great vegan options for breakfast! Both the vegan shaksuka and scrambled tofu were delicious. Also saw they had lots of vegan drink options such as milkshakes and hot chocolate too.

Easily one of the best breakfasts Iβve had in my life. The breakfast greens are extraordinary, prepared with love and care and sourced from the freshest ingredients. Their baked goods taste like they do in the south of France, somehow, and are utter perfection. Their coffees are also out of this world. I went twice in under 24 hours and only wish Iβd had time to go again!

I wasn't sure what to expect from Scarecrow's new dinner offering, but as soon as I was sat at a table with white tablecloths and gold-rimmed plates, I knew I was in for a luxurious couple of hours. Indeed, I could not have asked for a better experience. I was attentively looked after by the humble owner, his daughter, and the restaurant's chef: Simon, who together guided me through what I can only describe as: the best cullinary experience Ive had the pleasure of enjoying in Auckland City. This family owned establishment has managed to perfect something I've never quite found before in New Zealand; Excellence - truly the peak, of European fine dining, served in a genuinely authentic, and unpretencious setting. I felt totally comfortable throughout my meal, neither pestered, nor neglected, simply welcomed, and taken care of. - Tartare Fast, Fresh, Zesty, gentle flavours, paired beautifully with glass of red (cΓ΄te de rhone) - Fresh Pasta Homely, perfectly cooked, generously finished with fresh basil sauce and parmesan (pesto maybe?) It was better than pesto. [β‘β‘β‘] - Market Fish Fillet , paired with Provence - "Peyrassol Croix MΓ©diterranΓ©e" Perfectly cooked snapper - combination of crispy skin, on a silky soft fillet, served with confit fennel in possibly the best element of the entire meal. A thick, creamy smoked butter and fish stock sauce with herb oil. This sauce is so good that, If I had been at home, I would have licked the plate clean. [β‘β‘β‘] -Poached Strawberry dessert Strawberries are both sweetly poached, and refreshingly tart. Sitting among tiny biscuits in a delicate pistachio praline. A perfectly fresh and light finish to a rich and complex succession of incredible dishes. I had to finish with a peppermint tea, juat to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, and reflect on a meal that I will surely remember for years to come. Weather you want to celebrate a special occasion, or if you simply want a meal that is worth celebrating on its own, Scarecrow is the restaurant you should come to. 10/10, no notes.

Very nice cafe in the city. People there are super friendly and nice! Smoked salmon in the egg Benedict was my highlight, will definitely recommend! The miso brownie is also one of my favorites, very unique taste and delicious!

Delicious brunch place in Auckland. Staff is very nice and friendly, the menu is amazing, went there twice during the 3-4 days I was in Auckland. Very cozy for a winter morning brunch. Highly recommend the halloumi mushroom bagel, earth harvest breakfast, shakshuka and french brioche toast.

SHAKSHUKA with the Lamb sausage - Recommended dish here. Very pleasant atmosphere, with heaps of items around the shop for sale which keeps the eyes busy as we awaited the food. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken so didn't get to try out the coffee. Nice warm sunlight shone in and during the weekday it was actually not too busy. Will be back again to check out the seasonal changes of the menu!

On my trip from Canada, I stopped by Scarecrow and boy, it was amazing. You've got to try their pot pie - it's the best one I've ever had. The owner was super sweet and friendly, and we had a great chat. She even gave me a small pastry as a farewell gift since I was flying out that day. I can't wait to go back there again

Decent CBD cafe βοΈ Good coffee; excellent barista and roast. Lots of eats to choose from on menu and in cabinet display. Welcoming decor and nice (though tiny) bathrooms. The place is packed with organic/farm-to-table/sustainable/hipster products - the service is relaxed and slower than Iβm used to but they are good people. The wait person was really busy (understaffed!) but took the time to notice the little things to make me comfortableβ¦ so why give only βοΈβοΈβοΈ? Well, I didnβt like my breakfast. The vegan overnight oats were $16 worth of snot textured gloop, I should have known it was coming with vegan chia - but still. The seating was cramped, they were understaffed (therefor slow), they donβt have free-flowing wifi (handing out codes instead for 25 minute long sessions) and the bread and several pastries were just sitting out on countertops and I saw a fly land on an expensive strudel.

Stopped in for a breakfast before our flight out. Ambiance is nice. Relaxing and bustling at the same time. A great place to come by yourself or with others. I had the greens with poached eggs and lemon oil and ricotta. Vegetables cooked perfectly tender without mushiness. Just enough cheese to enhance. The service was excellent. Very friendly. Lots of great items around the cafe to purchase as well should you need a gift to take home. Most items were made in NZ.
