Luxurious and spacious living and dining space and bedroom. Paddy is a great host and exceeded expectations with a complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday which we shared around the huge fireplace. A plentiful breakfast set us up for the day. Looking forward to going back.
My husband and I stayed at O’Grady Lodge for 2 nights in April 2025. The Lodge is spacious and beautifully designed for comfort and privacy. The host, Paddy, has provided a very high standard of amenity making a stay feel that bit extra special. Far and away the most comfortable bed and linens of our entire trip. A generous and tasty breakfast was also included in the tariff. The space was so delightful we chose to stay in, and enjoy the serenity, but it would also be a great location for those lucky enough to have tickets to Gibbs Farm (25 minutes) or planning a meal and visit to Brick Bay Vineyard and Sculpture Trail (35 minutes). This rated as our top stay during 5 weeks of travel on the North Island. Highly recommend.
Oh my God this place is heaven on earth. I never want to leave from the minute you meet Paddy you feel like you are at home. Relaxing, Divine and a hidden gem amongst the bushes. Thankyou for the Sensational breakfast,your kindness and your beautiful spirit is energising. We will be back and not just for one night next time. Blessings to you and your children ❤️
We stayed here the night of our wedding (November 2019). The hospitality of the owner was amazing-with a beautiful spread for breakfast and excellent accommodation. The host went above and beyond even picking us up from our wedding venue and taking us back to our beautifully presented room. Our stay at the O’Grady Lodge was the perfect end to a perfect day and we would definitely recommend.
O'Grady Lodge is simply the best! Outstanding accommodation and stunning park-like gardens, it is certainly a place you wish you could stay longer. You will most definitely want to come back! The individual guest rooms are beautifully appointed, elegant and absolutely quiet and everything you need is of the highest quality. You will enjoy the beautiful library, the sunny dining room and lounge, as well as the delicious, lovingly prepared breakfast. You will have a perfect stay and probably make new friends.
My experience was amazing, from the super warm welcome by Paddy (Host) to the beautiful and luxurious lodge and it's surroundings. The breakfast experience alone was amazing - thanks Paddy for making my stay so memorable.
