The rooms are functional and arguably need a little TLC but they were clean, neat, comfortable and well located. The hostess, Di, goes out of her way to make patrons comfortable and well fed with freshly backed cakes and cookies for afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast with muffins - don't forget the muffins, they are fresh and loaded with berries. A true gem.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay , the hospitality was amazing with a yummy afternoon tea with homemade shortbread, caramel slice and chocolate brownie and coffee followed by a delicious Continental breakfast the following day and a home-made chocolate chip and banana muffin. I loved meeting you dog Spud very cute . Also enjoyed the lovely spa to end my evening. Me and Aunty Carloine will highly recommend Punga Lodge .
So friendly and very clean, we stayed in the B&B and the afternoon tea consisted of home baking, very yummy. Breakfast in the morning was much more than expected.. few minutes walk to Little Oneroa & 12 minutes to Oneroa Town, so very great location. Highly recommend Punga Lodge
We stayed for my partners 21st, and we had an amazing time! I asked when booking if there would be any vegan options, and we were very happy! Dyan baked an amazing vegan loaf for afternoon tea, and provided plenty of vegan options for breakfast (we also noticed plenty of gluten-free options). The spa pool was very relaxing and private, and it really felt like Dyan wanted to make sure we had a good time. Quite a short walk to the beach, and a beautiful short hike with amazing views to get into Oneroa village (we did it in sandals, took about 10-15 mins) Thank You!!
Good location, close to town and beach. Bit noisy due to the road but it was a great stay. Chalet is clean and spacious, hospitality is 5 star!! Afternoon tea was placed in our room even though we were out so we can enjoy it in the evening. Breakfast is very handy and absolutely stunning to enjoy on the balcony in the morning. Good price-value!
We absolutely LOVED staying at Punga Lodge and we will be back as soon as we can. Dyan was the lovliest host we have ever encountered, and possibly one of the best bakers in New Zealand. Service and atmosphere was second to none. All of the staff at Punga Lodge were super friendly. It was very easy to get there using the bus and really close to Little Oneroa Beach. We couldn't speak more highly of Punga Lodge
This is a hidden gem! Surround by tress and birds but situated so close to the town. The only thing better than the location is the hostess! Fresh baked afternoon tea daily and best selection for breakfast! Would not stay anywhere else on waiheke! Can't wait to return one day!
Comfortable, clean rooms in a tranquil setting. Wake up to birds singing in the lush trees and expansive foliage. A great shout-out to Dyan for unsurpassed service. This lady went out of her way with delicious and freshly baked afternoon treats and complimentary breakfasts. You will have to search far to find better value for money and its close to most amenities and main road.
