“Dave Crann was our property manager and the best we’ve ever had. Dave is fair, prompt with maintenance/repairs and extremely empathetic. We had THREE large Rottweilers reside at our property and not once did we run into any issues with Dave. My family and I always had open contact with our landlord and he was available for help at all hours of the day and night. There have been many times we’re Dave has helped with issues outside of work hours. We need property managers that help families into homes and one that is dedicated. Dave Crann is your guy! You will never find a property manager of his calibre.”

“This is our second timing dining at The Oyster Inn... and it once again did not disappoint! Our meals were amazing around the table... I was recommended the crudo and it was absolutely beautiful... followed by the Crayfish Linguine which was also fab! Around the table our group was super happy with all our meals and the drinks were pretty good too! But deserving of special mention, and I feel terrible for not catching his name, was our lovely Italian waiter. He honestly made it feel like we were dining with a friend as he was so helpful, fun and attentive! What an asset he is... thank you so much for a great evening!”

“Amazing location on house back from the beach. You couldn't see it but a 10 second walk to get there. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and looked after us. Would def stay there again.”

“We went to the Cafe for lunch. It was quiet however speaking to the staff it gets very busy during the weekend. The food was excellent and the service great. A lovely place for lunch if you’re looking for beautiful surroundings and plenty of room to relax.”

“The Hunting Lodge is such a beautiful wedding venue. As a wedding photographer, I always love shooting here. The grounds are stunning year-round, and the sunsets over the vineyards are next level. There are several ceremony options, including right at the edge of the vines or beside the iconic Barn. I also love the vintage caravan bar, it adds such a fun, relaxed energy and looks amazing in photos! With their in-house wine, relaxed vibe, and versatile indoor-outdoor flow, The Hunting Lodge is one of the best winery venues in Auckland :)”

“What a fantastic place, stayed from the 6th to the 9th April, I chose here as it is very close to the Southern cross hospital where I had my operation. My room was really nice close to the main entrance which was a big bonus, the staff were really nice and helpful. Plenty of food places around even though I didn’t use them. Hoyt’s cinema close by as well. But as I mentioned earlier it was the helpful staff that impressed me the most. I highly recommend this motel and would definitely stay again.”

“Definitely not for everyone, the atmosphere here is best described as festival-like when it's busy. That includes queueing for the (very clean!) toilets, of which there are two. Meals are communal and free, and so is breakfast and lunch. You're allowed to pick some fruit from the gardens: the plums, tangerines, apples and blackberries are all great. There's a lot of people here which is usually not my thing but I've come to feel very comfortable in the week that I stayed here, you can really do your own thing and interact whenever you feel like it.”

“i went to this camp for school it was AMAZING. it was abit of a long drive but it was SUPER COOL. but some bags got left in the bus but still 5 stars. my favourite part was rainbow tag. thank you for letting us stay a big thank you from waiuku primary school”

“We have stayed here twice now and really enjoy it. It is easy to get to. They make valet parking a breeze. The rooms are a good size, breakfast is great and we really enjoy the inside pool/ spa/ sauna that you can use regardless of the weather. I would definitely return.”

“We had the best family holiday break staying in the motel units at Orua bay, despite the weather. The lovely hosts made us so welcome and catered to our every need. The extended family especially enjoyed family games of cricket on the lawn when the weather cleared, the setting was amazing and well worth the drive out. “Outstanding view of Auckland Harbour from a well appointed appartment with secure/private access with a dedicated parking space. We were greeted by the owners who were very helpful and they made us feel welcome. Highly recommended as the views and location are perfect for a city break in Auckland.”

“Stayed here for a tennis tournament as the tennis center is very close. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 people. Our room was on the top floor, was spacious with a balcony which had lovely views. Both bedrooms had a tv and one had an ensuite bathroom. Beds were comfy and it was quiet. The kitchen had everything including a full size fridge which was good for 3 people. Parking was free outside business hours and the weekend which worked for us. Check in was easy and staff were very friendly. Noting that the room is not serviced every day especially not weekends, bit when we asked if the rubbish could be removed they did it promptly. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would come again.”

There were plenty of towels, and the heated towel rail was a great touch. The kitchenette was well-equipped and very convenient, and the lovely owners made the experience even better. “Trendy place, great vibe. Private room had plenty of space. Great location downtown Auckland, easy walk to the port. There is a parking beside the hotel, you just need to download the app and it's pretty simple”

“We are presently staying at this newer hotel for 5 nights , checking in was smooth and friendly… our room is modern , very clean and has everything we need .. it has a great location , accessible to bus routes.. if I had to suggest something: it would be nice to have an ice machine in the building !”

“Oaklands is great. We stayed here for a week or so at the beginning of our 1 year working holiday, and chose to stay again when we returned to Auckland at the end of our year. Dorms and private rooms are nice, kitchen is big and everything is clean enough. Common areas are nice, both inside and out. Staff are helpful. And it's not too expensive. Good value for your money. I recommend staying at this hostel and climbing Mt. Eden, which is a quick hike right next door.”

“Great accomodation in central Auckland. Despite the very central location, rooms are quiet. The hotel has a pool, spa pools and sauna, all indoors to use no matter the weather outside. The room was very clean, nice modern facilities, complete kitchen, even laundry in the room. Great facilities overall. The front desk staff was a hit&miss, check-in experience was average, the staff member could have been friendlier when explaining things. The check out staff very nice. Reception is 24hrs. Loved the layout of the hotel, which was easy to park and unload off the road. Very pleasant stay at Avani, I would stay again.”
