Cozy basement unit, very welcoming and helpful host, even baby sat our 11 year old poochon on one evening. Totally amazing breakfast each morning. We would recommend 'Runcimans b&b' for a cozy country break.
Very very good, my son loves the feeding of chickens Emus duck & turkeys. Didn't get to pick berries wasn't ready. But loved stay here. Will be back.
Lovely place. I stayed in the basement room with the breakfast option. The host was very accommodating and friendly, even giving me tips for things to see while in NZ. Well, full honestly, I had planned poorly and she basically helped me plan a couple day-trips. It was her suggestion to check out the Coromandel Peninsula and that was one of my favorite trips. I was a little surprised it was a basement room, but once I settled in it was comfortable and quiet. The tub was awesome. The little farm is really nice and I enjoyed the scenery. It was spring so there were flowers everywhere (I'm a year and a half late on this review). It's close enough to Auckland to be easy to get to from the airport (although finding the right driveway was tricky), yet far enough away that it was easy to start a day-trip.
Excellent location, Rural yet within 10 minutes drive of a bustling town. Lovely hosts, very friendly & accommodating. I had the Emu Villa Apartment, nice & cosy. Can sleep up to 4 guests. Large walk in shower & newly renovated bathroom. Amazing open view of the stars at night when enjoying a soak in the spa or the outdoor bathtub.
Beautifully located cottage on the countryside just 25 minutes south of Auckland and the airport. It has a very large bed in separate bedroom, living with fireplace, kitchen en modern bathroom. Can be cold at nights. Apart from the small electric heater in the kitchen there's no other option to warm the place then using the fireplace. The cottage is situated near the road where cars drive by, witch can be disturbing if sitting on the terrace outside.
