“Let me tell you this place is amazing in all aspects. The food was delicious we had butter chicken and butter lamb for mains. Mix salad and fries with two garlic naan. Two margaritas were so delightful. Service was excellent patient and friendly. Atmosphere we had chill Indian music was lovely. IT IS WAY BETTER DINING IN Great date night we will be back with the family”

“I came in today, 2nd August 2025, and honestly, I just had to leave a review because the experience was that good. Right from the moment I walked in, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. You could tell they actually cared about making sure we were comfortable and happy. Service was fast, smooth, and super polite. It’s rare these days to see people go the extra mile, but the team here really did — and it made a big difference. Now about the food — wow. I’m not even exaggerating when I say everything was so fin’ good*. Packed with flavour, cooked perfectly, and served hot and fresh. Every bite just hit the spot. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do, because the quality was honestly next level. I wasn’t even that hungry when I walked in, and still ended up eating way more than I expected — it was that tasty. I don’t usually write long reviews, but this place deserves it. “Had dinner at Portofino Takapuna, an authentic Italian restaurant by the beach. I ordered the Prosciutto Pizza and Seafood Risotto—both were absolutely amazing. The pizza was perfectly baked with a thin, crispy base and generous toppings, while the risotto was rich, creamy, and full of fresh seafood flavours. A truly delightful dining experience that captures the taste of Italy right here in Takapuna. Highly recommended!”

“We had a wonderful meal there last night. The views were fantastic, all the wait staff and the hostess were lovely and very helpful. We had someone who was GF and she was well looked after. Everything was made fresh and we couldn’t fault it. The massaman lamb was delicious and the money bags were the best we have eaten. The prices were reasonable too. Will definitely be back!! “Ive been here a few times and each brings me back! I love a good Larb Salad, and theirs is very good!!! But the star today was the Chiang Mai noodles. OMG it was amazing. Khao Soi is the actual name for this particular curry, but it comes from northern Thailand, and reminded me of my visit to Chiang Mai, hence the name! I must have this again!!!! “Lovely homestyle Northern Chinese food. The owner/cook is really warm and friendly. The cooking somehow has a very comforting, homelike feel- like you are at an aunty's house (aunty who is amazing at cooking). Served nice jasmine tea, and ordered spicy fried chicken cartilage (alright, a bit too overcooked but nice flavour), rice dish with tofu and pork and green pepper (the BEST) and mapo tofu. Some of the cheapest eats you'll find. Each dish was about $12.”

“Probably the best yum cha spot in Auckland! The food quality here is definitely a step above other well-known places. We came for a Saturday brunch with my family and my wife's family, and the place was already busy right from opening at 11am. Every table was full by lunchtime, so I was glad we had made a booking! Ordering was super easy using their QR code system, which showed clear photos of each dish. It was really helpful for choosing what we wanted. We ordered quite a variety, including their popular black truffle dumplings, steamed prawn dumplings, Mr. Lobster deep-fried prawn paste in shredded pastry, deep-fried spicy beans for salad, and a lobster congee to share, along with a few more dishes (not all pictured). Dish highlights: - Black Truffle Dumplings: Absolutely my favourite! There are two versions, and both were rich, fragrant, and full of truffle aroma - a must-try. - Steamed Prawn Dumplings: Fresh, juicy, and perfectly cooked - classic done right. - Deep-Fried Prawn Pastry (Mr. Lobster): Super crispy on the outside and beautifully tender inside. Loved every bite. - Spicy Beans for Salad: Crispy, flavourful, and surprisingly addictive. - Lobster Congee: Smooth, comforting, and generous with lobster - perfect for sharing. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff were friendly, quick, and attentive. They took the time to answer our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. I have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. They do yum cha only in lunch time, so it was important to us meeting in lunch time. The only downside is that prices are higher than other yum cha places, but the quality and flavour kinda justify it. Highly recommended, and make sure to book ahead.”

The clothing section looked fabulous for such a busy day and she was the only employee I saw even attempting to have it looking proper! “Woolworths in Hobsonville is always spotless and inviting. We love shopping there because the store is incredibly clean, the fruits are always fresh, and the baked goods are deliciously fresh. It’s truly a delightful shopping experience every time”

Convenient hours to support most shoppers. Wide range of produce/products covering some international brands beyond Aotearoa/Australia. Prices vary compared to other stores at other locations, check carefully before placing in your trolley. Both self service check out counters and a few serviced check out lines available. Weekends appear busier than usual - but that doesn't really detract from shopping, with loads of trolleys and baskets available at the entrance. Happy shopping!”
