Once I entered the restaurant i already knew that the food is gonna be tasty and yummy out of everything in there menu I picked my favourite Butter chicken and rice and butter naan very good service and if I wanted to go again I’ll bring my family here for special occasions this restaurant is worth a visit and trust me once you taste your gonna come back.

This used to be my go-to restaurant whenever I was in Kumeu, but last night’s experience was extremely disappointing, and I’ve lost trust in the place.
I ordered Chilli Chicken and Chicken Biryani with medium spice.
Both dishes came out extra hot and spicy. When I mentioned this, one of the staff took back the Chilli Chicken saying they would fix it — but they simply returned the same dish, just reheated.
When I questioned why it was still so hot despite clearly requesting medium spice, the staff member began arguing and giving excuses about how they add spice levels instead of acknowledging the issue.
Overall, a very poor experience. I won’t be going back next time.

Great food, I believe the owner served us and she was awesome! Very friendly and attentive. Such a good space to dine in, must be a hidden secret in kumeu as it wasn’t as busy I expected on a Friday night! (Although we were dining in about 8pm!)

The place was very good, the ambiance, the service and the food was great. It was extra special since we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, which was nice but at the same time sad as it probably shows that many people don’t know but how great this place is. On another positive note we ordered an entree that had only four pieces, however, since our family had Five members the chef and waiter were so nice enough to give us a five piece entree!!! Food was good on first visit, classic taste and flavours combined with spice and heat as requested, portion sizes were good, pleasant atmosphere. Service was poor, our waiter/server showed no urgency, very softly spoken, you could hardly hear him. Other diners at the time had a similar issue even though the restaurant was fairly empty. I then went to pay after the meal and asked for a receipt, the same server handed over the eftpos receipt, asked for a detailed receipt his demeanor changed, examined the bill and found I was double charged for everything that was ordered! On the second visit, attended a private function of a friend at the same place, the upstairs area of the restaurant was booked to another party which resulted in them making over excessive noise and being rude and disrespectful to my friends party. Situation escalated into a verbal stand off and aggression shown as the upstairs patrons were intoxicated which resulted in the police being called. Food was ok for a buffet, yet again poor service as dishes and glasses were not cleared promptly which resulted in congestion on tables, not impressed, will not be back.

Place seems to not get as much attention as it deserves. We got mango lamb and butter lamb with potato stuffed naan and plain naan with 4 mango lassis because they were really good. Definitely recommend coming here. Forgot to take a photo before eating.
