   We had a great experience at Spicy House . From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and customer service were warm, friendly, and attentive. The total came to around $95 NZD, and it was absolutely worth it for the quality and satisfaction we got. We ordered several dishes, and most of them were outstanding: Egg Fried Rice – Perfectly cooked and beautifully fragrant. The rice had that lovely wok-flavour, with fluffy grains and just the right seasoning. Simple, comforting, and incredibly delicious. Lamb Cumin– An absolute highlight! The lamb was tender, juicy, and packed with bold cumin and spice. Every bite was bursting with flavour, and it had that addictive aroma that makes you want to keep eating. Truly exceptional. Spicy Chicken – Crispy, spicy, and full of flavour. The chicken was cooked perfectly—crunchy on the outside and tender inside—and the spice level was just right, giving it a mouth-watering kick. Definitely one of the best spicy chicken dishes I’ve tried. Eggplant in Sweet Soup – This was the only dish that didn’t quite meet our expectations. The texture was nice, but the sweet sauce wasn’t to our taste. Overall, everything else—from the food to the hospitality—was excellent. Spicy House continues to be a reliable spot for delicious, flavour-packed meals, and we’ll definitely be returning!

   Finally got to try this restaurant after passing by a few times and always seeing it packed. Made me curious, and now I know why! The food is really tasty and suits our palate well. The dishes are rich in flavor and come out pretty fast too. The place isn’t very big, but definitely worth a visit especially if you like spicy food (they can also make it non spicy if you prefer). Highly recommend trying their Spicy Chicken, super flavorful and addictive!

   Great value for money, incredibly fast service. Food came out around 7 or so minutes after ordering! My personal favourite for dishes was the green beans with pork mince and the chilli chicken! We also ordered some chicken fried noodles and combination noodles which were both yum but nothing exceptional. The cucumber salad was nice and fresh and helpful to cut through the spice!! All in all great experience would 100% recommend for anyone wanting to eat out on dominion road

   A Hidden Gem on Dominion Road We’ve passed by Spicy House countless times and finally decided to step in – and what a delightful decision it was! This small restaurant has its unique charm: it’s compact, bustling, yet incredibly well-organized. Despite the busy atmosphere, the efficiency and attentiveness of the staff stood out. There were five staff members at the front counter, ensuring every request was promptly addressed and tables were swiftly cleaned and turned over for the next guests. One of the most striking aspects of Spicy House is its diverse clientele. It’s arguably the only Chinese restaurant in Auckland where you’ll find more non-Chinese customers than Chinese, which speaks volumes about its broad appeal and the quality of its food. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the beef was particularly noteworthy – tender and perfectly cooked. Each dish we tried was a testament to the culinary skills of the kitchen staff. The prices are reasonable, offering great value for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, our experience at Spicy House was fantastic. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout on Dominion Road. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of their delightful offerings. Highly recommended!

   The food is always amazing! Same quality every time you visit. Price is not too bad. There's just never enough room though... there's always a queue... but that also says a lot about how good this place is. I guess its time for them to expand a bit.

   This restaurant is always packed but still staff will be friendly. If you are in mood to eat extreme spicy then definitely for chicken in spicy sauce and Chili Chicken. Further if you are visiting for first time, Please ask of the menu with food photos which will help you to choose a right dish.

   The best chinese food ever! I’m a tourist from PH. I went here last 2016, 2017 and 2018 then I just came back this 2023 for their salt and pepper squid! The best!!!
