   This use to be our go to place for a mean Kai! Unfortunately we have not been here for a while, I ordered a chicken fillet burger with chips, last night I was fine until this morning I woke up violently ill with food poisoning. Do not bother wasting your money and coming here!

   It was always going to be too good to be true. I made a phone order for four different types of food to which the staff member had repeated back to me and made me think they had the correct order. Upon pick-up, I didn't think I'd need to check to see if my food was all there prior to returning home. Instead of chicken fried rice, chicken nasi goreng, chicken egg fu yung, and sweet and sour pork I received plain egg fu yung, sour pork, fried rice and a very, very spicy chicken fried rice. On my way home I couldn't shake the feeling that I was overcharged for my order, so I calculated everything and it turns out I was charged $17 more than what the total price should've been. Not only did I get home to find I didn't receive a lot of my order but I also found that I was overcharged. Might I add that the menu images show the wrong prices but, for the record, this wasn't the cause of me being overcharged. I can tell you that I won't be returning to this store as this wasn't my first bad experience but it's definitely going to be the last.

   My partner and I ordered fish and chips and sweet and sour pork we both got violently sick food seafood poisoning apparently this is not the first time one of my family members have been sick from their food please stay away from their food! No one else should have to go through that.

   It’s a hit or miss with Waitangirua Chicken Shack. Numerous visits and it’s a mix of either great food or disgusting food. So it’s a gamble you take. But that’s takeout right. My 2 star rating is due to the fact that regardless of it being local and many visits due to pretty much taking a gamble on whether the food will be good this time round. My family (family of 5) have gotten Food Poisoning. And this is a common thing with Chicken Shack. Not only my own family but I know of a few families that I have spoken to that have gotten food poisoning and haven’t returned. Such a sad experience as a lot of my previous visits have actually been a hit. Great food, nice, hot & ready. Especially the chicken nibbles for my children! Very disappointed this time round though. The food poisoning came from the Chicken Fillet Burger.

   If you order fish&chips, it isn't good when the oil is dripping off the paper. The fry chicken is dry and tasteless and has too much Sault. The shop itself needs some paint and lights to make the place lively and not dead. The shop itself looks run down and overpriced?

   The chicken shack is one of the shops that I go to a lot. I love the way how there chicken is moist and big. Favourite place that a lot if people go to.

   Had fish and chips from the mall, bit into my spring roll only to notice that I had not into this plastic thing. This is definitely unsafe food safety wise, workers should need to double check their products first before serving it. Hopefully I’m not the only one who has witnessed this.
