A solid fish and chip shop with fair prices and reasonable portions—good, though not the best I've had.
Just not good. Chips were soggy and light on salt. Service was curt. Crumbed fish looked like it had come out of a freezer box. Wont go back.
The battered fish are consistently excellent -. the batter is crispy and the fish tastes fresh. The chips are the pre-made frozen variety & are just OK. Other than the fish, the battered meat patties are my favourite. The staff are always polite. I rate this shop 4 1/2 stars but rounding up to 5 stars
Excellent service and a decent Veg Burger
Burgers were ok, chicken gourmet yum steak gourmet however lots of gristle steak pieces cery sad to have found 2 short black hairs one with each burger too! :( maybe the hairs around the bags??
I order an items off the menu over the phone order was taken and all was well i go and collect my food and paid for meal. Got all the way home only to discover the pork bun I order was missing i return and am told sorry we didn't have any and ill refund your money. Well thank u my whole family eats and I dont plus y was the refund not mentioned wen i collected my meal instead u all saw me leave and said goodbye.
Nice shop, friendly owner...Chips are nice. But the fish is dry and tasteless...plus very oily batter. Its a shame...I may just have expected more with the high ratings. But drove all the way from Johnsonville so was hoping for more.
Language barriers and cooking fat that taints the food unpleasantly make this my last choice of local chippies. Great for a quick scoff when you're late home from work (closed on Mondays) but I've been consistently disappointed with the quality and taste of the grub. Ok, it's a fish and chip shop but I do expect sausages that are something other than half-cooked and chips that taste of potato, not oil that's past its best.
