   We had a delicious wedding anniversary dinner here this week. We had driven past awhile ago and decided to give it a try and best decision. All our dishes were delicious, the flavours were bold, the plating meticulous and the taste was divine. We definitely plan to keep going back so we can try all the delicious options.

   Lovely English style restaurant. Easy parking and access. Consistently good food and attentive staff. Good choice of menus and drinks. Nice wood fire for chilly days/nights and inviting outdoor area too. As you can see one plate did contain scallops on it - yummm

   The ambience was lovely, with a cozy fireplace adding warmth to the dining experience. Service was also excellent, attentive and friendly. We started with the cauliflower bites, but they were a letdown. The crumbs were overly thick, hard, and greasy, while the cauliflower itself was undercooked and unpleasantly tough. The flavor was decent, but the texture ruined it. The squid tasted alright, but like the cauliflower, it was far too oily. For mains, we ordered the pork hock and lamb shank. The portions were huge, but the tastes were disappointed.

   Definitely the best fish and chips I had in my life... And believe me I had too many! Rest of the menu looks amazing as well. A hidden gem in West auckland, run like a proper eatery you'd find in places where good food is celebrated and not your usual mediocre kiwi business! Hats off guys ❤️❤️❤️

   Special experience as a Friday lunch. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the dishes are very exquisite, different and each with a touch of theatrics which adds to your experience. Lovely property, would definitely come back.
