Hidden little gem, in a quite corner of a small shopping centre. The banjan borani was absolutely amazing, with the kebabs platter & biryani to go on the side, was a delicious meal. Service was almost non existent but the authentic chefs in the background stole the show for us.
My husband and I have been eating at Kabul House for years and we totally love it! As our friend who invited us there the first time said: it’s like eating at an Afghan grandmother’s house. The food is always fresh and prepared with care. My husband always eats the qabuly pulao and I order their butter chicken. The grilled meats are superb as well. We also love their mango lassi. Highly recommended!
My Afghani colleague recommended this place to me few weeks back. So, thought to give it a go. I went there on a weekday, some time around 7. It was not that crowded, probably because it's a weekday. I decided to try the combination(of 2) kebab with a chicken and a mutton. It was served along with a Naan, couple of sauces and salad. Both the kebabs were tender and tasty with adequate spices. The Naan was quite filling. One of the sauces was spicy and was the perfect combo for kebabs. Pricewise, I felt that it was a bit expensive (approx. 23$). Will definitely be coming back to try other Afghani dishes.
Great meal very tasty would be 10/10 Ordered mix grill and was told they ran out of mince kebab but offered extra chicken. Great customer service will be back definitely thanks ..
I ordered half chicken on phone then collected and went home to eat my meal. Then found the chicken raw and the blood very clear inside it. I called the restaurant and went there with the raw meal and showed it to them and offered a new meal. However, while waiting the guy told me that they will put the new half chicken on the old meal rice!!!! I lost it at that moment....you spoiled my lunch and spent the time driving then you wanted to use the same old rice which is very little according to the meal price??! Very rude and very bad service… I expected to do something to say sorry for what they’ve done to me.. but on the contrary, they tried to be more rude!! I will never ever buy a meal from them! And will spread the word to all friends.
My family and I have been to Kabul house Restaurant many times. The food is superb.full of flavour. I rate it 100/10!
Update 3 years later - Used to be one of my favorite restaurants but last few visits have been quite disappointing especially the latest one. Food wasn't at good at all but the sad thing was service was no where to be seen. When i told the young lad at the counter about the food he just shrugged his shoulders. ____________ What a great new eatery. Absolutely delicious Afghani good. The owner is a really nice soft spoken gentleman. The prices are pretty fair too. Room for improvement in service though, hence the four stars.
Fantastic flavours, excellent service. We tried a new favourite Chicken Karahi, beside an old familiar favourite Chicken Tikka with awesome rice and naan
