   We had a wonderful time at the tramway restaurant. Although the sunlight was a bit strong in the summer, it was a very unique experience to wave to passersby.

   We had a very sweet and charming experience at Drumway Restaurant, and I don’t regret going at all. The atmosphere itself is lovely, and the concept is quite unique. However, there were a few things we found a bit disappointing. The portion sizes were extremely small — we definitely didn’t feel full afterwards. The pork belly in particular was almost entirely fat (around 80%), with barely any actual meat, which was quite a letdown. Another thing that really confused us was the booking process. When making the reservation, we were specifically asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion. We noted that it was my partner’s birthday, and this was even confirmed again in the booking details. However, absolutely nothing was acknowledged during our visit — no mention, no simple greeting, nothing. It left us wondering why the restaurant asks about special occasions if they don’t do anything with that information. Overall, a cute experience, but with a few issues that took away from what could have been a truly lovely visit.

   This was such a great experience, Me and my boss did this, Sunday just been and we had such a great time. Highly recommend doing the wine pairing with the 4 course meal - It makes a great experiences. Atmosphere was Like you were back in the old days and we really lapped up the music, the food and of course the Beverages .. Such a great experience Christchurch!! I can’t wait to bring my parents here when they come to Christchurch with me next.

   The vibe on the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant is immaculate and one-of-a-kind. You’re served a multi-course meal while gently touring the city in a beautifully restored vintage tram, such a special way to see the sights. The food was surprisingly good considering there’s no full kitchen onboard. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and tasty. The staff were professional, warm, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended especially if you’ve never done anything like this. It’s more than a meal, a moving, scenic journey with great food and atmosphere.

   We had an amazing experience on the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant! The four-course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented as we cruised through the city in a warm, cozy cabin. Our servers, Hannah and Joy, were absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Liam, our driver, navigated the tram smoothly through the streets, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Huge compliments to Chef Zihan—the food was incredible from start to finish. Such a unique and memorable way to experience Christchurch. Highly recommend!

   My parents went on the Tramway Restaurant and loved it. Everything was superb. They loved the food, which was just the right size and delicious. The service was of the highest quality, and the company on board was great. The wine pairing is a must and went perfectly with their meals. They recommend it to anyone who wishes to try it out. Book well in advance as well!

   Valentines dinner was fantastic!! Staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Food was fantastic! worth it for the experience and a nice way to see some of the city. My only issue was how small/cramped the seats and table were, my 6” 1’ partner sitting across from me had his knees against the edge of my seat. but understandable with being on an old tram.

   This is a quirky experience, but in essence its not great food on a not great tour. Lets start with the tram and the itinerary. The restaurant car is lovely, well maintained and obviously lovingly looked after. The itinerary is simply backwards and forwards for a couple of hours around a very small area of Christchurch. This is mainly around the main shopping streets and repeats itself frequently. There is no information given about what you are seeing and we got very bored of passing the same high street shops repeatedly. I would recommend that you consider taking the tramway tour if you are interested in learning more about Christchurch. The restaurant experience does not do this. Now onto the food. Well it tries very hard to be fancy, but on our trip that effort could not overcome the poor execution. Looks great, tastes like shoe leather was the general opinion of the venison for example. High point - the wine pairings were great. Overall this is good for a quirky experience to write home about, but don't go for the food or to see Christchurch.

   Superb meal, wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. The time went so quickly. A really nice way to see the city and the staff were friendly but not intrusive. It was good that the tram stopped so that you could stretch your legs and go to the loo part way through the evening. Would certainly recommend to anyone.

   Trudelt unforgettable experience indeed, especially to the exquisite ambiance and outstanding service by the lovely, charming and warm staff members, the food is also innovative, and in high quality, but just the portion size is bit on the low end, I believe this is my first time not being really full in a fine dining experience. I think one extra entree or just having some bread with the courses should easily solve this problem.
