   The food was a high level and good for a fine dining restaurant in Hanmer Springs. Also struggled with the fact that it’s a set 2 or 3 course menu - sometimes you just want a main. Agree with other reviewers that the decor doesn’t align with the food - fake cherry tree and astro turf on entry as well as a plastic waterfall/fountain that wasn’t operating.

   Absolutely glorious food! The team at No. 31 know what they're doing. I'm still dreaming about the duck entrees... The staff are lovely, the historical building is cosy, and the art displayed around is inspiring. Enjoy a delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

   Don’t know if it’s a good restaurant or not as the receptionist, who finally ran out to “greet” us, yelled at my youngest children and basically asked us to leave. We were hungry after a long day at the hot pools and not dressed up at all. But it did not seem like a very fancy place, rather one of many touristy spots offering overpriced fair while feeding off the hot spa’s draw. Perhaps better for an intimate evening, but I’ll never know as I was rudely denied service. :(

   Every dish we had was perfectly cooked and the presentation was amazing! My son was happy with his kid’s meal offered by the lady which is not on the menu. Super friendly staff and outstanding service! Highly recommended and will definitely comeback to try the other dishes on the menu.

   Beautiful meals and exceptional service. Loved my blue cod dinner special- and seemed everyone else did too as I believe every table after ordered the same. Crème brûlée was silky smooth and had the perfect crunch on top. Empty plates were never on table longer than a few minutes, and the table was checked on the perfect amount. Would recommend to anyone wanting a high quality dining experience.
