“First time coming here after craving Italian, best to book as its not a big place and fills up quick, got lucky calling 10 minutes ahead for a table for 2. Staff are wonderful, cheerful and happy to help, orders are taken quicken and plates cleared efficiently. It can be a bit of a wait for mains as theyre cooked fresh but worth the wait. Everything on the menu looks good and theres a big drink selection too. 10/10!”

“This is my go to Cafe and is just around the corner from work. Great place to have a hot drink and grab a bite to eat, and I love the different options they offer. The setup is great and I use it to catchup with my clients over a drink. The service is amazing and Angeline is always lovely and welcoming.”

“Very gentle well behaved and friendly owner and staff. Probably the best I have ever seen or experienced. Products are of great quality, wide range and selection, and very convenient, especially the FREE fish and meat cutting service they offer! Hats off. They go out of their way to help customers out, in two occasions I have experienced myself! Very reasonable (if not the cheapest in town in a lot of products) and conveniently priced items. Very quickly they have become one of the favourite shopping destinations of I and my family. Their curry piece goat meat and whole chicken curry cut packs are the absolute trophy items, as well as the best priced largest mud crabs I have ever seen! Try for yourself and become a fan. “We had booked a table for dinner incase it was busy there being a Saturday night, pleased we did as it was a very popular place to be. Wait staff were prompt and friendly, helpful with questions and offered great service. The food was delicious. Salt and Pepper Squid entree was excellent and my rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our night here and would definitely eat here again.”

“A welcoming café with friendly staff. The food was delicious and my coffee was perfect - yay, a place that didn't turn a flat white into a latte. Enjoyed the food and experience enough to come back again today. I recommend the chia banana bread (traditional banana bread flavour without the heaviness) and the smokey ham sandwiches are delicious.”

Even though parking is a bit annoying the products Ilam Kosco offers are very worth it in the end. Everyone should come and experience Ilam Kosco :).”

“Honestly don’t know what all the people on here are talking about, we went in tonight for dinner and had the most amazing service. Our waiter Eddie was absolutely amazing, great energy, playful jokes and some amazing service. He made the entire experience enjoyable. On top of that the cocktails and food were 10/10 I got the steak burger and it was huge!!!!! I was struggling to fit it all in my mouth but it was worth it cause the flavours were just phenomenal. Definitely recommend popping in here and having dinner it’s a great spot”

“This is as good as it gets. Really good Chinese food. Authentic Chinese and kiwi favourites as well. Nice, friendly service. Bathroom has had a major, much needed upgrade. In fact the whole place has been upgraded. We will definitely be back. From the way that the other customers (four different groups, two Chinese, two kiwi) related to the staff, you could tell that they weren't there their first time. It's a good sign when customers come back. We had the curry chicken, cha shao pork (much bigger dish than in the menu photo), Fu Yong egg (omelette thingy) and stir fried veggies. All delicious.”

“THIS bar is has come along way and is now bit of a hidden gem in Hornby. The rustic look of the bar and its layout is great. Also the prices are very, very welcoming. Makes you want to stay longer. Has a pool table too and plenty of space. Their seafood basket is too die for too. You won't be sorry visiting here!”
