The strata lounge with China airlines (also others) in Auckland airport is spacious and well maintained above my expectations. The five or six shower rooms are extra large and spacious and variety of foods is provided. Perfect choice for short stay before long hour flights. Best choice in NZ airport

November 2025 I was redirected to The Strata Lounge as the Qantas Lounge was closed at Auckland Airport. To my surprise, I enjoyed it even more than the Qantas Lounge. The space is spacious, with a comfortable room temperature, quiet background music, and a convenient seating arrangement. The shower rooms are huge and well-equipped if you need to freshen up. The food was excellent—high quality, thoughtfully selected, and freshly cooked. The chef, a kind lady, even prepared delicious scrambled eggs for me after breakfast hours were over. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The atmosphere remained relaxing and uncrowded, even when all tables and seats were occupied. The buffet is accessible from both sides, eliminating any queues or overcrowding. There was also a beautiful selection of organic teas. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at The Strata Lounge and would happily return. Thank you!

The Strata Lounge was relatively easy to find after I went through the security check. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon around 3pm, so the lounge was not crowded at all. After settling into a comfortable spot, I explored the buffet stations. There was a nice selection of drinks, including hot and cold water, tea, soda, and a coffee machine. The food offerings were quite good, and I found the tofu lasagna to be a unique and interesting choice. I was a bit taken aback to find there was no bar staff present, which meant guests had to pour their own drinks. There were plenty of options to choose from, from hard liquor to beer, but it felt a little unusual to handle that aspect independently. What truly impressed me were the restroom facilities. The five individual rooms connected to a spacious walk-in shower, a large counter, a hair dryer, and a toilet, all of which were remarkably clean and well-maintained. However, I noticed that the service was quite minimal during my visit. There was a lady who passed by several times, but she unfortunately didn't notice my empty dish on the table. Given the limited space, I eventually felt the need to approach her and place my dirty dish in the cart she was pushing. It seemed like she was having a tough time maneuvering, and I felt a mixture of empathy and concern for her. Overall, despite some challenges, the lounge had its comforting elements that made the experience worthwhile.

This facility is a great place to recharge your stomach and electronics during your layover. The shower was excellent, and you can ask the front desk for a towel. Unfortunately, there’s no hair dryer. The food selection was good, and the wine and beer were great too. Staff was meticulous about keeping the buffet area clean and organized and picking up dirty dishes from guest tables. Relaxation room for you to sit and rest up separate from other guests if needed.

As far as airport lounges go, this one is mighty fine. One of the AMEX Priority Pass ticketed entries. Loads of space, and plenty of varied seating. Special mention to the variety of foods on offer and the self-service lay out, which led to zero queues. The location also has quite a nice view of the concourse/departure area.

The first impression of the Strata Lounge at Auckland Airport is that it is really spacious. There are different zones inside the lounge for meetings, resting, dining and even viewing of the gallery below. There’s also a kids room with cartoon playing on TV… The food selection at Strata Lounge Auckland Airport is rather good. You’ll be able to find cold selection such as cheeses, salads, sandwiches as well as hot selection such as pasta, chicken and garlic bread…While the food selection was good, it was a tad disappointing in the taste department (though not as bad as Ambassador Transit Lounge). But, there is still a glimmer of hope. The alcoholic selection is pretty good actually… For more details, visit 2bearbear today!

The strata lounge has been upgraded since Covid. It looks neat, spacious with plenty of seats and rest area. There are shower facilities and kids play room.

A good option to come (if you have access through Priority Pass) especially when Air NZ Lounge is near its capacity. Good spacious lounge. Offers more cooked breakfast than AirNZ Lounge, though no barista coffee. It also has a huge children’s room! But there are only two toilets.

Very good lounge indeed. Plenty of food and snacks available all day long. Very good selection of alcoholic beverages (with an emphasis on locally produced wines of course). Lots of shower cabins available too, included in entry fee. Service staff is as polite and efficient. Good place to spend couple of hours prior to a flight.
