Chicken in my vegetarian meal!! Unfortunately having to leave a mixed review. Have been here previously and enjoyed myself (enough to come back!). I had a vegetarian panini style sandwich from the cabinet, and an ice chocolate. Both were lovely ….. until I was 3/4 the way through my sandwich and discovered a large chunk of chicken. As a vegetarian was very disappointed and it really took the shine off of my meal. Picked out the chicken and closely examined what was left of my food before eating the last couple chicken-free bites. Hate to imagine what I may have unwittingly consumed prior to my scrutiny of the last few bites. Took my plate (with the piece of chicken on it, photograph attached) to the waitstaff who were immensely apologetic. However beyond some “we are very sorry” and taking my plate to show the chef nothing was done to rectify or apologise. I am reticent to leave a negative comment, especially when the rest of my visit was so pleasant. Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, and wonderful selection of food. Just wasn’t so thrilled with the chicken in my vegetarian meal, or the handling of the situation once I raised it. Not sure if I will return after this experience - a real pity since I liked this cafe before this.

Enjoyed this location, black pudding in the menu so it’s an automatic winner. Coffee wasn’t the best but definitely drinkable, had the large fry up which was extremely packed with goodness. Highlight was the bacon and hash brown.

The wide, open space and the view of the beautiful red magnolias outside looked like a painting — absolutely stunning. The coffee was excellent, and the scone was delicious. All the cabinet food looked tasty as well. Every staff member was nice and lovely. Truly a wonderful place!

With its generous layout and seating options inside and outside, this cafe provides a charming setting to enjoy your food. The amazing crew greeted us and showed exceptional care; their vibrant energy captured our attention right away. A diverse array of choices awaits you, including kitchen menu selections and beverages, highlighted by an impressive showcase of pastries and desserts up front. One should highlight the lack of trashy and shallow music, along with the ample space and cleanliness of the washrooms. Summer has arrived, and it's common to expect buzzing flies while eating; however, their conspicuous absence results from the Rentokil system fixed to the wall. All is satisfactory! Those who love food need to experience this restaurant! With two visits behind us, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming ones!

I enjoyed my food here. The service was satisfactory - a little functional rather than warm and engaging Coffee ok but not paticularly authentic. A cappuccino should have gowned milk and not be identical to a latte Overall it was fine

I had a caramel macchiato and a lemon muffin. The caramel syrup was a little intense but otherwise the coffee was great, and the muffin was delicious. Lovely place to sit with a nice outdoor seating area, surrounded by trees in bloom. There are often some little dogs sitting outside as well, which is a huge plus for me. Will definitely be back to try the food on the menu soon.

Nice place and yummy food. Coffee was definitely the highlight. Tasty, double shot standard and creamy. We ordered the big breakfast ($27) to share and it came in two plates looking like two big breakfasts. Very well served. Sausage wasn't great and bread could be nicer too...but still very good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Place looks a bit tired. Overall a great experience. Recommended!

We appreciated the owner's warm welcome and exceptional service. We ordered chicken with beetroot relish and tasty aioli from the cabinet. Mine was gf and equally delicious.

Went here for breakfast on Good Friday, thankfully it was open! The service was great, the staff were so hospitable and attentive. The general vibe was nice, there weren’t too many people, had a very large open space with an indoor and outdoor area. I ordered Eggs Benedict with Salmon, was so good. Easy to eat which my braces were thankful for, they even had toothpicks at the counter! The egg was soft and cooked perfectly, with the runny yolk and everything! They were also super accommodating, I asked for no bread and they offered to replace it with hash brown with no extra fee. I’m not sure if they had that as an option on the menu but I was grateful that they offered either way. I ordered an English breakfast tea as my drink, which was yum. Had a very cute glass teapot. Slay for the aesthetic. It was also very affordable considering it was in quite a nice cafe in Newmarket, surprised me and my girlfriend. Anyway, it was a great experience! Would definitely go back.
