“The pizza is expensive but very very delicious, especially the buffalo chicken pizza! The store doesn’t have a lot of seating but there’s normally always at least one seat free. The workers are friendly and overall the store has a very nice vibe to it!”

“Ordered a Sir George and a Vege Supreme pizza . Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pizzas were ready within 10 minutes on a Friday night. Got it to takeaway as I find the atmosphere to be crowded with everyone else in there little high eatery . Pizzas are great with a perfect base and that authentic wood fired taste . Flavours on pizza are perfect. Can highly recommend getting the crust dipping sauces to accompany the pizza either by dipping the crust or putting directly onto the pizza . Highly recommend going along and trying .”

“Had the most amazing 21st Birthday dinner here. We come here all the time for dinner but the service tonight was absolutely amazing! Daragh was the lovely gentleman that took care of us most of the night, he had wonderful service and such a warm presence which made it way more enjoyable! And we had Ayung taking care of us the rest of the night and she was amazing on checking up on us and making sure we were happy all the way up to the end. So thank you so much to the team for everything! We will be back soon!”

It is best to make a booking for lunch and for larger groups as this is a popular place. There is also a takeaway pizza service. However it can get a little noisy when full”

“We recently dined at Mumbaiwala in Christchurch and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Mumbai Chicken, the Lamb Chef's Special of the Day, Kadai Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and fresh naan. Everything was full of flavour, especially the Mumbai Chicken and Kadai Chicken – both had just the right balance of spice and richness. The Lamb Chef’s Special was beautifully cooked and tender. The naan was soft and perfect for soaking up the sauces. The only slight letdown was the Chicken Biryani – it was decent but didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. Service was friendly and prompt, and the ambiance was vibrant and inviting. Definitely a great place for authentic Indian food in the heart of Christchurch. Looking forward to our next visit!”

The curry gravies are rich and thick and full of flavor. The rice is perfectly done. The roti is perfectly done. “Hands down the best food I have had in all of New Zealand. I went to Spice Paragon with zero expectations as most Thai food in Christchurch is quite average. The prices were a bit much for me at first glance, as I often run on tight budget. Most of the time I will argue that expensive food is not worth it past a certain price point, but that argument failed here. The food arrived within 10 min of ordering and was absolutely stunning visually. We ordered the Pad Thai and a beef dish with a red curry sauce (I can't remember the name) that the waitress recommended. The Pad Thai was delicious, but the beef dish stole the show. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the sauce it was bathed in was delectable. Portion sizes were large. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive for New Zealand standards. The evening atmosphere would make this restaurant a great spot for a date, or a nice dinner with friends and family. If you are looking for a nice dinner spot with bold flavors in Christchurch, this is the place!”

“Great Thai restaurant in the Brighton beach centre. Near to the pier and the library. Foods are extremely authentic and the spicy dish salad are Thai spicy so make sure you are use to hot hot chili otherwise go for mild or no chili option. I loved the green curry and few other dishes. The owner are very hard working and loved her traditional dress too. Is definitely a good Thai restaurant in Christchurch that offer a taste of Thailand.”

“My first visit for Teppanyaki. We tried the all you can eat option. Though this menu is more simple foods in an all you can eat style, it didn't disappoint. The entree board with sushi and chicken was particularly enjoyable given the fresh and crisp contrasts. They have a Japanese version of an espresso martini with Baileys which was very good.”
