   Had a very disappointing experience. We went there for our son’s birthday lunch, and the manager was too busy cleaning the windows outside to even notice us. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without anyone attending to us. The food was also extremely poor. It was overpriced and lacked any real flavour. In an attempt to make the dishes look visually appealing and “royal,” they completely ruined the taste. We ended up leaving most of the food because it was very difficult to eat. The Paneer tasted stale and we felt like getting sick from eating it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all. It was a complete waste of money for us.

   Authentic Indian food you can only get here in Christchurch. It’s so classy and royal. I loved the concept of train station. Service is top notch. I had their Aloo Tikki Chat - 10/10 Mango lassi - 10/10 Cheese and Garlic Naan- 10/10 Chicken Tikka Masala- 7/10 Food is expensive as compared to other Indian restaurant but it’s worth to spend every penny. Would recommend everyone to try!

   The lamb and chicken starters were outstanding, and the sauce was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the curry and the naan — perfectly cooked and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. We arrived at 5.30, and there were already only a few seats left — a very popular spot!

   I have been here more times than I can remember. It use to be excellent food that was rich with flavour. This was before COVID. Since after that the food quality has gone down with a steep curve. I have still walked in and ordered takeaways just to ensure I was not making a snap judgment. But unfortunately the food quality has not improved yet. The last time I came here I ended up with tummy problems. The most important thing for a restaurant is the food. Everything else is secondary. Hopefully someone responsible thinks of doing something about this.

   I order butter chicken for takeaway and I got just small piece of chicken in my curry and not much chicken in my curry. Not sure you guys want to save cost or what? NOT WORTH !!
