“Eating on my own as travelling for work, so looking for tasty food and reasonable pricing, and an atmosphere where it doesn’t feel awkward being a sole diner. I had been here some time ago, enjoyed it very much and this time was certainly well satisfied on all counts. Only had a main, pork belly, plus side of veges. Serving size was really generous - I liked the sound of the mussels entree but would never have fitted that in as well! Very tasty - I enjoy sampling pork belly on my travels and this was excellent.”
“We hosted our book club in the upstairs room on a Monday night and Colin was super helpful, so accommodating and it was a good central spot for those working in town, while still feeling like we could escape for a couple of hours! We worked our way through a few of the non-alcoholic beer and gin offerings too; appreciated having options for those driving.”
“A place I'd walked past and never been in so, let's do it. Was bigger on the inside than I thought. Has a downstairs with pool tables, who knew. If you're a pokie machine person they have them. A few nice beers, an outside area. All good.”
“A great place to chill and enjoy the crowds (or army of suits). Very easy to get to, via bus or rail. Food was great beer was too only downside no Stella. Will come again soon :)”
“Cavern Club Bar is a must-visit! Perfect place to enjoy live music, meet friendly people, and have a great night out in the city”
“Absolutely amazing! The staff are lovely, kai was top quality, you will not regret eating here. As a Maori the environment and energy made me feel right home!. ✨❤️ Gorgeous ocean view whilst eating was just a bonus☀️ Ngā mihi nui ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“The grilled pork on rice was absolutely incredible. It was seriously the best I've had in the city. I also grabbed some spring rolls for an appetizer, and they were a delicious way to kick off the meal. Overall, a fantastic experience. Great food, friendly service”
“This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area (possibly in Wellington). Their food is well prepared and delicious. I tried the chicken sola —which is classified as a ‘starter’— and it has a full dinner’s worth of chicken, and it has a kick! The fried poppadom is so tasty and the garlic naan is GREAT. My family loves the butter chicken, especially my son who orders ‘Butter the Chicken’ off the kids menu. The only curious thing was how three people in my party ordered butter chicken and each person’s butter chicken came out in staggered order, my wife’s, then my daughter’s, and then my son’s. It was all extremely tasty, though, so no worries.”
“This place doesn’t deserve a 5 star it deserves a 10!! The food was extremely delicious! The staff were on point. The food wait time was just perfect. You guys deserve nothing but a 10 out of 10! Thanks for the amazing hospitality! Definitely see you next time! So much to pick from. Worth a shot on everything. We had 5 things and everything was perfectly cooked.”
“Greeted by a lovely guy who was very friendly. Decided to sit outside despite the overcast weather instead of waiting for an inside table which turned out to be a good decision. The food & coffee was great. The staff were very helpful. Will definitely be back.”
“I had a great evening at Vinyl! Especially because of the service we experienced from Flo. They were friendly, had great energy and helped up find the perfect drinks for our party off the menu! Will definitely be coming back again”
“Every two weeks I'm at The Arborist for my BX Networking meeting and am about to have my son's 21st birthday celebration there. Everyone is lovely to deal with and the atmosphere is wonderful! The food and drinks are yummy. You can't go wrong at The Arborist!”
“Great Food as always. This is one of my favorite spot to eat in Wellington for Indian Nepali fusion. Good service, food comes out at time and all the servers are well mannered.”
“Expertly cooked fish and chips. Huge range of options. Great service with lots of smiles. Very popular and busy place. Great range of Chinese takeaway dishes. The Wonton Soup is fantastic.”
“A new find for us and we'll be back! Excellent coffee, friendly service, heaps of cabinet food options plus a small blackboard menu. And they now how to do proper crispy bacon :)”
“This establishment is the epitome of a cool spot for refreshment. It boasts an extensive selection of diverse drinks, from steaming hot beverages to refreshing cold ones. Moreover, they also offer delicious meals. I can't wait to return and explore their other enticing menus. It's a definite must-visit for any beverage and food enthusiast! Opps! Cigarettes Smoking is everywhere in here. That's why i gave 3 stars for the atmosphere. That's the reason we take out our orders.”
“My husband had been recommending this place all through our relationship and we finally returned to his home town and did Corfu... my goodness, they lived up to the hype! Best fish and Chips I've ever had. The staff are so lovely, food is fresh and delicious, made with love and they are honest with pricing, they are a genuinely honorable business owners who work as a family and make great kai. Thank you Corfu for a perfect little Parkside date night meal.”
“Great Burger Fuel, easy drive from the CBD Real friendly service, Plenty of free parking. Very good burgers and chicken fenders.”
“We had an amazing time here! The food was incredible - decent prices, generous portions and beautiful well balanced flavours. The staff are really lovely and attentive, the atmosphere is welcoming and casual despite the high quality food. I couldn’t believe I’d actually ordered a salad and it was large, delicious, inventive and perfectly dressed. So many places give you a tiny bowl of leaves from a bag with some dry cabbage or carrot smothered in cheap oil - this was properly lovely, lush and fresh. The squid rings were delicious - though the sauce was a bit sweet for me. In general I would have loved some mayonnaise - this whole country insists on aioli… I’m not into garlic and love a proper, creamy fresh mayo, especially with chips. But in general this is the best meal I’ve had in Wellington. The lamb shank has a beautiful warmth to it - spiced with layers of fragrant flavours. We just had a fantastic time - so grateful to have discovered this spot and will definitely be back.”
“Felt homesick and came here at 9pm. I was amazed because of the how close it is to the taste of Vietnam honestly. This place deserves more attention as the food and service are amazing. Not only that but the options here are crazily extensive. You get a lot of options to choose on the menu. They have some dishes I have never seen in other Vietnamese restaurants in New Zealand, like “mì hoành thánh”, or the dessert I got. The price is also reasonable. Definitely coming back again for the taste.”
“Superbly modern pub in a great location! The Hudson looks warm and appealing for the Wellington exterior and getting inside does not disappoint! This free house and stillhouse offers great New Zealand craft beer and an excellent range of international gins. This is all topped off with a secluded, upstairs whisky bar and excellent delicatessen. The Hudson is a revamped and modern take on a British gastro-pub. The craft beer list is kept so up to date they don’t bother with menus, instead projecting the current tap selection on the wall. For May’s Hopstock festival, the Hudson is hosting Liberty Brewing’s best beers and absolutely spoiling Wellingtonians. The gin bar has a spectacular range including Malfy’s delicious orange and grapefruit variants. Locals Denizen Gin also have high billing. If you’re unsure spin the $12 gin wheel and you’ll likely be treated to something new and interesting like The Botanist, Beefeater’s Pink Gin or a choice from the Handman range. Bar snacks are also delicious with curved meats carved and sliced in front of you. This is all topped off with a great wine list and superbly welcoming staff. The Hudson has a great atmosphere and is filled up when most pubs would be quiet. It’s a great option for Saturday afternoon drinks and cozy chats. Go here for a warm welcome and enjoy sampling your way through an excellent range of good drink!”
“Fisherman’s Plate is the best pho you will find! The owners are lovely and make such delicious food. Always go in for a pho and a scoop of chips - such good value.”
“My family loved Ammu at the old location, this was the first visit at the new location. The service was efficient and the food came out fast. We have ordered Ammu on delivery services previously but the food was so much better in store! The naan bread was so plush. I highly recommended Ammu, support local!”
“I love Hawaiian burgers. This is by far the best Hawaiian burger I've had anywhere. I got it 10 minutes ago. It was huge and juicy, the pineapple fried, egg, bacon rocket I don't even know what else might have had hash brown but it was EXTREME! It was $20.50 but that's a good price considering the absolute complete snobbery of seatoun! Thank you.”
“Best Indian food in Upper Hutt by taste and value for money. Excellent service and great beer selection. Upper Hutt has huge competition for all types of Indian food with 10 or more Indian style food vendors....”
“Really good fish and chips. The fish was fresh and the chips were well cooked. Very tidy and well decorated shop, including tables and space to eat in. Well worth their reputation. So glad I checked them out.”
“Amongst other burger outfits in our city BF is a class above them by a margin. It's contents are packed full of taste and freshness and cooked to match their description on their displayed menu. And their PR with their service makes returning back there a sure thing.”
“We haven't been to this restaurant for years since it was Little India but thought we'd give Curry Leaf a try after our usual changed hands and the food there is not very nice. So glad we did! The food is delicious and the service top notch. Have since been back a couple of times and it was just as good. I hope others give this place a go as we would highly recommend it!”
“The food was AMAZING, although it was completely overshadowed by my amazing server, Austin Kendrick. Austin made me feel like a completely new person, completely reinvigorating my entire worldview. Handsome, attentive, kind - everything you want from a waiter. He truly embodies the keen spirit that is needed from our young folk. As a 67 year-old, I don't see many young people with the potential that I see here.”
“Always love going to Longbeach. Such tasty food, awesome vibes and love the garden. Definitely worth a visit any time of day!”
