Got here as part of a Weta Workshop halfday tour. The menu did sound interesting, that's why I signed up for the tour that included lunch here, but it was a huge disappointment. The corn fritters, my starter, was pretty okay. But the Hangi - note that I'm definitely not familiar with this cuisine and can't judge its authenticity - was just a lot of overcooked potatoes and extremely dry pieces of meat. I didn't know meat could be this dry, there wasn't a drip of juice left on there! I couldn't finish my meal, because it was so unsatisfactory, and left still kinda hungry.

We had the eggs Benedict and a burger, and both were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, well presented, and full of flavor. The iced latte was next level, one of the best Iβve had in Wellington. Great spot with a nice atmosphere, highly recommended.

Lovely staff with amazing hospitality that made us feel welcome. The food was good overall β the halloumi couldβve used something carb-y on the side and the kumara/pumpkin purΓ©e was a bit too salty, which came with halloumi but the eggs bene was spot on. Sitting outside with the view felt super relaxed and made the experience even better.

What I particularly love about this place is their location and the gorgeous view they have over the lagoon! Itβs so nice sitting outside enjoying a coffee and the relaxing atmosphere. The food and drinks are good though too and the staff are nice and welcoming. You can send your order from your table using a QR code, which is easy and convenient.

what a great way to start our day for our whanau. Once our brains caught up with our eyes from all the visuals surrounding the cafe, our pukus were ready to order. Eggs bene, raw fish served with kumara chips, steamed hangi kete, Pacific plate, watercress sausage, rewana bread & drinks. Wow! the presentation β€ tino pai. Our kai was delicious and we couldn't eat it all. We experienced beautiful manaaki from staff including the handing out of blankets to keep patrons eating outside warm. Neat alright, they thought of everything for cold welly mornings. Average cost pp: 50$ with drinks. This cafe is blessed. Great place, people and food. Nga mihi Nui,

Cool place to try hearty NZ favourites, including Hangi, the earthen oven (steamed meat and vegetables) that is central to MΔori cuisine. You wonβt go hungry here!
